Looking back, it really wouldn't have been hard to make a complete, non starchild, ending.

If you refuse Shepard may not live much longer. But everyone else will go guns blazing. There's no meaningful difference.

And geth do not judge reaching a different conclusion as wrong. ;) Though of the two, it's not hard to see which was created closer to organics but also which spent more time with them.

The difference is a focus on hatred and violence in your psychology, not immersing oneself in smug platitudes. It's an attitude. The Geth just do not have this. While Refuse people just seem resigned. They remind me of Liara and her fatalistic attitude at times.

EDI, however, comes close to the first. When she considers the situation, she expresses something like disgust.

all i have to say is that what if Reaper broke the 4th wall and indoctrinated us all.

Yes i have dreams of Oily shadows and it has a child puking oil in the air and everything was in black and white. and Me and my crew were looking for the cure for indoctrination but the galaxy was dead.

Not sure what the underlined's about or what you're trying to imply. But yes, the geth do not have that attitude, or attitude in general in the sense most people understand it.

And refuse is only resigned here on the BSN. In-game Shepard takes a moral stance. Though even on here most Refuse supporters I've seen seemed to be perpetually locked in a battle of middle fingers with Bioware. A similar kind of "**** you" defiance to what you're talking about actually.

As for EDI again, she's constantly cohabiting with organics and actively trying to emulate them, though I do believe her reactions are more developed and genuine then that word would imply. The geth however do not, at any point. The difference makes sense to me.

I just think "Destroyers", "Controllers", etc.. are immersed in different frames of thought...even on a day-to-day basis. They probably even fantasize about different things. And when it comes to Refusers, I don't see them having the same thoughts exactly about the Reapers, as the Destroyers would. When you truly hate something or someone, you're thinking of violence all day and all the creative ways you can kill someone. Your imagination is constantly is swimming in that kind of stuff..even if you were confined or had your hands tied. lol. At least for me it is. I don't think the "Refuse" type is coming from the same place. Defiant, but not as primal.

I understand why the Geth aren't that way too.. but it's a failure to me. There's kind of a sad moment when you can tell Legion this. "The Geth are better than this."

"No, we are not."

I don't know, the idea of Kai Leng running around naked seems pretty amusing.

There was no need for THAT ending.

For me ME2 put the ground work down for ME3 because you have the entry point for the Reapers and a reference of a weapon that can stop Reapers, so why oh why do they need to make a battery

Not enough brain bleach in the galaxy for that.

Besides, he wouldn't run around. He'd just cry and stomp his feet until a gunship came in to give him his clothes back.

The gunship could add to the forth wall breaking, It could be the source of the third person camera.

Well no doubt the character model would be made attractive. But the idea of it is upchuck-worthy.

I'm very late to this thread, and very confused by the last couple of posts, so I'm just going to drop my opinion here that will likely get buried.

I would have been happy with a very simple "live or die" type ending similar to ME2's suicide mission.

You can either: destroy the reapers, save the galaxy, and Shepard lives; destroy the reapers, save the galaxy, but Shepard dies; or fail and the reapers destroy all life in the galaxy.

Where and whenever ME4 is set, you do not play as Shepard so the game will accept if he/she survived or died, and adjust accordingly. If the game is going to be set in the Milky Way, then it would only accept save transfers where the reapers were destroyed; if it's set in Andromeda, it will accept any ending.
