Women rarely had a direct part in history (behind every great man is a great woman implies that the woman is usually pulling the strings), but there are rulers like Queen Mary (or better known as Bloody Mary because she was a tyrant) that women can fall into the same traps that a male can.

Actions of the past only have an effect on those who choose to continue them into the future, and there's no reason to not realize the behavior being propagated is bad, other then that it's beneficial to those peoples desire for preferential treatment. Feminists want equality and respect, those lazy snarky jerks who happen to be women or sometimes men and complain online about how oppressed they are that people look at them while praising the middle east as better then the west and ignore the brutal backwards crap that pass as appropriate gender roles in that part of the world just want a better deal then everyone else.
