Says nothing about gaining those levels ON Perilous (unless I missed something?), so you can knock out your 5 Perilous, then go back to Routine/Threatening for leveling up.

My few Perilous PUGs all died on Wave 5 (before the patch that closed the font room, even). The 5 Perilous completions I currently have are all thanks to my ol' ME3MP buddy, who's hell on wheels.
That's why I'm lighting the beacons for him again for this one. LMAO

Yes, it is very hard to find pug perilous lobbies these days... I think this challenge is suppose to address that. Perhaps people new to it will like it and stick with it.

Indeed. I predict a giant cluster of confusion. A bit like the first time ME3MP made many of us buck up and step into Gold for the first time in order to complete a weekend challenge.
That was a trip. I remember clinging to a wall and imagining my character practically screaming and crying to himself. Looking back on it now, from the other end of experience and many Gold solos later, it's a rather amusing mental image. 
This one will be difficult, unless they nerf perilous a bit. The final wave of perilous is what will blast most people. with a bit of cautious play and a good barrier caster you can often, even without the ideal party or experienced people get to the last wave. Wave 5 though is very brutal. I will have to accelerate my leveling of my keeper and elementalist so I can be a good barrier support caster for other people on perilous.

I really enjoyed ME3MP, but DAMP just seems to be not nearly as enjoyable. Heck I went back to ME3MP after getting frustrated with just doing the weekend events here. I just got my two gold solos the other day for Lone Wolf and that was a lot more enjoyable then pugging DAMP.
Guess my screen will be shaking all weekend with fade cloak exploit.....
(Yes I know it's a clever use of mechanics)

Now that I'm finally comfortable with playing perilous I'm actually excited for this challenge 
That said, I feel bad for people who don't have the DAIMP advantages that I have (decent-sized player pool, to start) and expect this weekend to be frustrating for a lot of players. Hopefully the leveling challenge will help a few people discover that they love classes they've never even tried before.
Side note: Do people really have issues with screenshake when playing in a group with an Elementalist? I sometimes have a hard time seeing because of all the fire but my screen only seems to shake when I am playing Ele, not when someone else is.
Perilous PUGS are just that - perilous. My success rate in total random, play-with-strangers Pee-Pee games is about 35%.

Well, guess there's no DAIMP for me this weekend.
