Always spam Firestorm.

 

Don't know if anyone knows if Firestorm stacks.

Maybe from a critical cooldown, not sure, but I can sometimes activate Firestorm before the last one has finished...

Definitely stacks. Not always worth doubling or even tripling unless you want to CC a larger area. Otherwise I tend to save the second one for when the first expires.

Always spam the hell out of Firestorm, fire out a barrier, some basic attacks to reduce cooldown (Gathering Storm) and cast the next one before the last one has ran out..  I am also lucky enough to have rings for Enhanced Firestorm, Immolate, Barrier and a superb HoK ring, wish I could wear more rings..

I haven't been able to find a public game all weekend. I've solo'd a couple for the levels challenge but it looks like BioWare's incompetence is going to cost me any chance at the other one.

Tell them to use the mini-map If they're complaining, they'll soon learn how amazing firestorm is. I love it when Elementalists spam firestorm. It means all those mooks have 0 dps because they're on the floor. And it knocks stalkers/shadows out of stealth.

Also, fire wall is great for archers, they often line up beatifully to spam their OP bullsh*t, panic those fools!

I don't just chuck it out for the sake of killing a lone deep stalker but when the fight involves more than a few enemies I am sure your party would rather put up with a little screen shake than having enemies sticking their pointy ends in their faces..

 

When I play a warrior class I love it when an Ele throws a firestorm, just get in there and start kicking them when they are down.. Yes, it can be a little disorienting but just check the minimap, also, click on the right ticks will lock onto the next available target, you can almost blindly run around the firestorm and finish them all off..

Totally agree. I love a Firestorm-happy Ele when I'm a warrior!

Had a game with me as a katari and THREE elementalists.  I swear I never saw one opponent the whole game, just flames.

And why shouldn't they? I got my 10 levels for the personal challenge and went right back to other games. I can't imagine I'm in the minority, especially if you group me with the people who didn't even bother gaining 10 levels--something that can be done in under 5 matches.

 

Because why bother? Why should I waste hours grinding out matches (assuming the matchmaking doesn't fail and leave me in a lobby alone for minutes at a time... or there's not a failed host migration... or DAIMP doesn't crash my PS4) for levels to contribute to a goal that's going to reward me with "improved loot" consisting of yet another Sundering, 2 Army Dirks, a Mercenary Longsword, and a Defender Mail Arms?

I put in this disc once a week, Friday, to try to play the weekend event.

 

Past two weeks I haven't been able to find a game/when I do, it fails in one way or another. I couldn't even get 3 months out of this game before the bugs and connection issues pushed me away.

 

Edit: Can't wait to see BW "punish" for failing the challenge.

 

Its kind of like playing a game of soccer (futball for you Euros) 1 vs 11 where every time you try to kick the ref's start screaming "ERROR RESTART GAME". You can't win because you have no team and the game crashes and has to be restarted in order to continue playing.

Sh*t challenge. Can't find perilous lobbies let alone finishing 5 games, and the 10 levels took me forever (crashing etc) only for a chest of disappointment.

That was a fun challenge.  I don't think I've leveled up that many level 1's in a while, much less played that much Perilous.

Well, I've been trying since Friday afternoon. It's now 7am Monday morning. I managed to find four Perilous games and extract on three of them.

The only reason I managed to complete this weekends challenges is because Proto (who I'd never played with before) messaged me last minute and helped me do all of them, absolute legend. I had nothing but CtD's mid game and matchmaking with no one, even tried starting up games and no one joined at all. I can't believe they still haven't fixed their matchmaking system.
