Of course it is.
It's what the characters will acknowledge and what will show up in a codex later on. That you actually need a modified world state in order to get a different version should say something.
I understand people are overprotective of their roleplaying and stories, but it is what it is.


Er...what? Characters acknowledge what you import, not the default. The codex adapts to what you import, not the default.

That you have to modify it says nothing other than the fact that BioWare can't read our minds and know what we did in our world unless we set it that way. Seriously, how else would it work?

The default Keep state is just for new players who have nothing to import. It's not canon. Anyone who imports their own are completely unaffected by it.

Wait, if they are the only one.. does that mean all those folks that were ticked off over the exclusivity deal are likely massing for some sort  of attack?

It's not the Keep that referred to the male Cousland as the HOF, it's the DA2 "Default History" option. I think that's what confused people.
