Just for fun, though it has probably been asked before on this forum (I am a newbie here, so sorry if the topic is old!)

 

What is your favorite ME weapon(s) and why?  In any or every ME game?

 

Mine is the M-13 Raptor.  Seriously, as an infiltrator, once I get this rapid fire sniper rifle I rarely put it down, especially when I get the scope that slows the shooting speed down a bit.  Watching those cryo-bullets freeze the enemy and shatter them, as well as the occasional exploding headshot...it it just so much fun!! And I get to watch it all go down because I can stay scoped in after each shot.

 

I also love the geth pulse rifle in ME3, cause it sounds wicked when you fire it and shoots it fast and smooth.  I am always pretty stoked when I get that one, though half the game is over by the time it is in my hands.

 

But nothing touches the raptor, in my opinion!!

 

And...i am so excited to see what weapons we get in the new game!! (fan-girl squeal!!)

I like the M-99 Sabre --  Nothing like having precision level accuracy with the power (and the shots) of an assault rifle. 

 

I'm also liking the Executioner's Pistol and the Scorpion with my N7 Fury with the pistol power magnifier on it.  Couple that with the Commando equipment bonus, and you've got yourself a death machine.  And this has nothing to do with some of the ammo bonuses which can give +100% power damage at level four.  Dark Channel --  And follow which one it jumps to and Throw.  

 

Besides, the Executioner's Pistol has taken down more than one enemy in it's line of sight than I care to shake a stick at.  Plus, Guardians?  Ha!  Shoot them anywhere on that shield, I can pretty much guarantee that they're gone.

 

Some people swear by the Collector's SMG, I could never find a use for it though.   Of course, this may be because mine is only level two and theirs is level ten.

M-96 Mattock. Excellent all-rounder that's accurate with low recoil, reasonably fast fire and decent magazine size.

Lancer: accurate, low recoil, hard hitting, light weight

 

I do like the Raptor for sniping with my Sentinel and Engineer, though if I played an Infiltrator I would probably go with something with more oomph (but not too much weight). Maybe the Mantis.

Well I only have a favorite combo the N7-Valkyrie, for the power and accuracy, with the Viper sniper, for power range and accuracy. I play as an Infiltrator so I mostly use the sniper rifle but when they get too close the rifle with extended mag mod and recoil mod combined with AP rounds takes care of buisness...cue BTO song.

I did always like the M-76 Revenant. It's not the best weapon but I think that's why I like it. It's a gun that rides the line between being completely cheesy and gamebreaking while being a legitimately good weapon.

 

Plus, it looks awesome and unique.

My favorite is the Cerberus Harrier assault rifle the N7 Crusader shotgun and the M5 Phalanx pistol, give those three and my soldier Shepard is as happy as kid in christmass.

M-4 Shuriken. When you first get it, it is kind of weak. But once you fully upgrade it, it rips through barriers. If you keep pulling the trigger it becomes fully automatic. Plus, how many machine pistols fire three-round burst?

The (High Lord) Claymore.

 

I prefer the ME2 version, but the ME3 version is also awesome. (In ME2, it reloaded a little faster, plus ME2 allowed you to reload-cancel with melee.)

+ all can deal somewhat good damage without being totally op.

 

If I had to choose only one, maybe the Mantis (if it had more ammo in ME2).

I see the Mattock alot on here.  I should give it a try!  And the Mantis is a beast...there is no denying that!

 

And if I could play a krogan...the spike thrower would never leave my hands cause it is just too cool looking.

 

I can't seem to stop playing an infiltrator...I need to step outta my comfort zone...ie, out from behind cover.  But I just dig sniping so much!  I played a soldier once, but missed my tech powers.

 

Am considering going through as a pure biotic, but feel nervous about running out into enemy fire with a wee pistol in my hand.  My Shep is all about self preservation!

 

Oh well...at least in ME3, we got the shooting range to try out which weapon we like.  I hope they keep something like that in future games!!  I always go back to it to choose my weapons for major missions (even though I always end up with the raptor as my sniper rifle )

Well, if you're talking about ME3MP give it a go as the N7 Fury.  She has almost teleportation like dodges and it can get you out of some sticky situations.

 

Plus, those biotic detonations are just absolutely brutal.   Also, I carry a SMG just for backup.  A ton of people hate on SMG's because they don't do very much damage per shot.  That really isn't their job.  Their job is more of a damage over time thing.

Ah...no, I've never played MP. I am not a really good gamer, so I am just happy to die over and over in my own private universe without screwing up a team!  

 

I just meant that i tried to play once through as an adept and stopped after like 30 minutes cause it freaked me out to run up and lift people and shoot them with my wee gun.  I felt exposed!!!  I am a bit of a chicken and prefer hiding in cover and sniping the baddies.  But I have played through all three games so many times and I need a change of pace.

In ME1, I liked all of the  SPECTRE X weapons for every single gun.  I enjoyed the guns in ME1 immensely because you could modify them so much.  Getting your mods up to the X level was kind of like having 4 upgrade slots and still having one slot left over for ammo type.  Also, the Geth Pulse Rifles that you can get from the Pinnacle Station retirement home terminal had upgrade slots.  Those things were stoopid good and fun.

 

In ME2, I have to say that the Mattock is a beast, as is the Geth Plasma Shotgun.  Even the Carniflex has that real gun kick and noise to it.

 

In ME3, well, I hated the SP game.  But I still MP a lot, and I have to say they did a lot of impressive work on a lot of the guns.  It's hard to say which is my favorite.  Some work better on some classes - and I like to play all of the classes.  My favorite ends up being dependent on which character I am playing, as well as the team I am playing with.

ME 2 - Kassa Locust. Mattock

ME 3 - Hurricane, Cerberus Harrier, Talon.

For the adept, the Executioner's or the Scorpion. 

 

For the vanguard.   Ohhh, the Piranha.  Me loves pwning some face with the piranha.

 

And to think at first that I wouldn't like the vanguard...     Hah.
