Maybe to fix a bug/glitch that was occurring in the game that inadvertently fixed the exploit but I have my doubts about it. Might be about achievements on console as there are worth points for your profile & some people take them serious but people cheese achievements on games all time.

I play on PC so it isn't an issue on new PT due to cheat-engine but for console I can see why it would be frustrating for player who want steam-roll the PT but my tip would be play on casual on new PT as crafting doesn't matter on those PT as unique gained along are more than sufficient to complete the game.

With the tinting now available with at Skyhold you can get a look you like from a part onwards anyway & crafting becomes a obsolete unless you want the best gear for min-maxing.

Plus you can cheat money from the war-room I think by forwarding time but alot of hassle for amount of gold you receive. Go to Hissing Waste after getting Skyhold buy tier 3 schematics from vendor to help the PT

Also if the Black Emporium releases materials and gold etc for micro transactions I will never buy EA or Bioware again.

I wouldn't think they would that in Dragon Age but they did something like that with Dead Space 3 and that was EA all over that franchise.

Also remember when cheat codes were something in games that you didn't need to buy or glitch

Some people like watching the world burn. Honestly if you're playing on pc and you want the dupe exploits use cheat engine. If you're on console then alas there is no solution.

Bioware sees them as bugs and not features.

I'm all for fixing bugs but the optional dupe exploit was harmless and only improved the single player experience for those who don't have access to cheat engine, plus DA:O and DA2 had the same exploit so it felt weird they fixed it.

The only good reason i can think for fixing this exploit is if it was causing other bugs in the game. Or this:

Maybe to fix a bug/glitch that was occurring in the game that inadvertently fixed the exploit but I have my doubts about it. Might be about achievements on console as there are worth points for your profile & some people take them serious but people cheese achievements on games all time.

I love seeing people complain about not being able to cheat anymore. Sure, the exploit wasn't hurting anybody since it's a single-player game, but I'm almost glad it got patched, just to see the tears.

edit: especially when someone makes an account just to make the complaint.

So what you're saying is that you're purposefully antagonistic because you enjoy stirring the proverbial poo. Thanks for highlighting this for us; it will now be easier to ignore you in the future.

You should be crying that the game is less enjoyable when it's not being exploited. That's not a good game.

I don't think I "should be" crying about anything, since I'm not complaining about the game.

What's With the random Words being Capitalized? I'm seeing a lot of this lately.

Poor grammar/spelling? An attempt to emphasize a point?

I had the unfortunate task of hiring people for tech positions in my IT department. Unfortunate, in the sense that I had to read many resumes, which brought me to shake my head at the current state of this generation's spelling and grammar skills.

It might also be due auto-correct. My device tends to capitalize the word "Mages" and I often can't be bothered to correct it.

Why is it unacceptable that they fixed this? God forbid you actually have to "work" for your items?

My view is that the gaming industry have slowly but relentlessly brainwashed the new generation to be instantly rewarded with little to no effort involved.

You must have a really sad life then, my serious condolences.

"Enjoy people suffering".

Yeah, because not being able to cheat is "suffering".

Not being able to eat because you live in poverty is suffering. Watching several family members slowly waste away due to brain cancer is suffering. Waking up every day feeling like you have no purpose and no reason to continue living, is suffering.

So yeah, I don't take much stock in the "suffering" one goes through when their problem is that they can't exploit a glitch in a video game. Remind me again how I "hate innocent people" when I make fun of them for complaining that they can't exploit their gold for infinite money, or duplicate crafting materials. Never, EVER compare someone throwing a hissy fit due to a bug fix to "suffering".

I get you and immersion into a quality game is helpful to take the edge off those particularly nasty days and you certainly don't need aggravation on top of inflammation or depression.   None the less, I'd rather most folks never know true suffering by any means.

Well, they admitted to spying on how we play games, so is it a leap to brainwashing?  It could also be simply trying to follow the money and predict the best pathway to profits - we do have a greed oriented financial system among other things.

The Japanese have already predicted console death (article by the Makers of final Fantasy) as consumers are shifting to handheld devices.  I might disagree with that assessment just on grandfather principles, but there it is. They did not address the PC market and for good reason (flexible architecture) where could you put a home office, home automation system or a home AI among other things?  The interface to the home computer may change significantly, in the coming years, but the PC is likely to evolve much further.
