No, the quest does not refer to a graveyard, it actually says graveyard. So show me where the actual word graveyard is in the Hissing Wastes is then.

Again, you completely miss or disregard the point.  I don't need to show you where in the text it says burial ground to match exactly what is in the Hissing Wastes, because a reference to a graveyard is more than sufficient for 99.8% of the population to have figured it out, if it weren't their would probably be at least a couple of other people supporting your position, don't you think?

The point of this is that frankly, it's an incredibly silly thing to gripe about.  You've been shown time and time again that graveyard and burial ground are similar enough in meaning that most reasonable people figured out that when the quest referred to graveyard, it was actually talking about the burial ground.  You've been given examples of how this would be historically accurate, and yet you stubbornly refuse to even consider the possibility that you might be wrong.  Instead you keep circling back and insisting I show you something that can't be shown, because you cannot accept the notion that your entire argument has failed.

Normally I don't enjoy being quite so blunt, but hopefully that will finally clear things up for you, because nothing else seems to have worked at all.   So let me say, Wow.  You seem completely fixated on this to a pretty ridiculous degree.  Have you considered some sort of support group?  I mean I don't know that there is a support group for anal retentive gamers out there but there might be, they seem to have support groups for pretty much everything nowadays.

There are no in-game instructions on how to get a refund...

Worse.  There are instructions, but unfortunately it refers to it as a remittance, not a refund - which makes it pretty much impossible for any reasonable person to work it out from there.  Crafty devils...

You've obviously never been hiking. Trail maps are notoriously subjective as to what constitutes a trail. Sometimes it is a path, a dirt road, a paved road, a gravel road, a game trail where the grass is all smushed down, and sometimes the actual hiking trail is a nothing more than the path worn by water trickling down the mountain.

I would consider it a personal favor if you contact American Hiking Society and convince them to standardize their definition of trail and update all their guides.

Rotfl.. I can just imagine that letter now.  Dear American Hiking Society - I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore.  I will show you all by refusing to walk until you fix this, not even to my car!

Lol

Burial Ground and Graveyard are the same thing. They are synonyms. Pen and Pencil are not the same, although they may have the same function as a writing utensil. A synonym is a word having the same or nearly the same meaning as another word. Let's use the word drunk. There are a bunch of words you can use in place of 'drunk' but it still means drunk. Tipsy, inebriated, wasted, sloshed, plastered, are a few examples of synonyms, words that have the same or near the same meaning, for drunk and I can interchange them in a sentence.

Synonyms for Burial Ground: Cemetery, Graveyard, bone yard. Those are the most commonly used.

You are wrong..

Burial Ground / Cemetery is different to a graveyard...

Nice list OP!

But as we say in Africa, you can write that on your belly and wipe it with your t-shirt. Meaning, it will NEVER happen.

The original post, simplified:

Patch the game because I'm too dumb to play it.

Just to be clear, I know it won't happen after all, this is BIOWARE we're talking about. It's a fact that BIOWARE makes their games so only uneducated people can play them without all the need to know important details educated people know are needed. The replies in this thread alone clearly prove that. People don't even grasp the simple concept of why using the word graveyard in the quest text, instead of burial ground is a problem. That's they're taking after the fact knowledge and trying to apply it to a before hand situation

Without after the fact knowledge, only someone uneducated would go somewhere similar instead of where the text actually says to go, wind up finding the place by accident, and then act like they found said place by the directions just like people are doing in this thread.

There is no graveyard in the Hissing Wastes, so therefore the way to find it, is by wandering around aimlessly and trying things until something works.

Lets be real here ok, the reality on this is that if nobody had gotten to this area yet, and I posted this, every single person would be agreeing with me, because everybody would be looking for the word graveyard on the map.

No one replying and arguing here is going to tell me they went looking for something other than the word graveyard, if you do you're a liar

I found an area in the Hissing Wastes that has graves, in a large cleared area, almost like a yard. I believe I have found a graveyard. And look there is a tomb here as well, huh well I guess being able to follow the quest marker means I must be un-edumacated. Or maybe I was able to use the rarest skill known as common sense and realise there are such things as misspellings, typos, accidental use of other words or am just able to look at words beyond their face value; at least that what my major in English and Social Sciences seems to suggest. Clearly uneducated

Love to know how it is you can undeniably prove that only uneducated people can play the game. If that were so you as the player must by your own reasoning be uneducated as you are playing the game, so you are your own problem. That makes a lot of sense actually.

Both a cemetery and a graveyard are burial grounds.

A dehydrated corpse clutching a dictionary, and someone merrily splashing around in "like a pond but in the desert", are not equally happy.

Education and intelligence are not the same thing.

Both chocolate and vanilla ice creams are delicious.

You're using after the fact knowledge to try to say you knew something about a place that there is no way you could have known. As I said above the only way you can find this place is to wander around aimlessly and try different things until something works. If the map was already open you wouldn't even go into any of the areas, you would simply open the map and move your mouse around until you found the exact word graveyard and then you would go there. The fact is that there is no place titled graveyard on that map so no one is seriously going to say they read the word graveyard, but then decided to do something else.

In order for you to be correct, the quest text would have to use a generic phrase such as "A place where dead are" or something like it.

So do you really have to ask why I mentioned uneducated people?

They have different connotations, but a very similar definition.  Regardless, the point still stands that the vast majority of people had zero issue with this and thus for Bioware to spend a lot of time going back in and making a patch to change it would be silly.

Something that you fail to address, yet again.

Or I could have just made the quest in the journal active and therefore there would be no wandering needed as the location I need to go would be clear on the map via the icon, no text needed. Is it the uneducated person who is able to use the function of the game to clear up confusion or is it the uneducated person the one wandering the desert?

Ok, so if we don't tell you what you want to hear, we're lying.. lol.  Nice.

Well, for my part when I wandered across the burial ground I did what I normally do, I searched the place.  Turned out it was what I was looking for - I don't really recall the first time play through exactly how it all transpired, because frankly it just wasn't a huge issue to me.  Still isn't.  After that of course I knew where to look so it became even less of an issue.

Perhaps instead of going back and trying to patch this Bioware could simply release a Land of Semantics DLC to appease you.  Would that work?

No. Too complex.

One must first figure out what the icon actually means.
