The ideas of both are flawed and are carried by flawed people who attempt to gain an advantage over the other side, using said terms to help strengthen their argument and to justify it.
What do you think of MRM and Feminism?

The recommendations are of people I frequently agree with (more than disagree).
I wish that they could be a little more open to hearing each other out.
We don't need a feminism versus MRM punch up. Try listening to one another.
Both sides are in the right here.

And I swear when I come back we're still going over feminism and such. People cling to this stuff worse than I cling on to my past actions for some reason.

They're too busy trying to disprove each other.

That's because feminism is a current hot topic.
So is terrorism, environment, unemployment, US foreign policy etc.
In addition I feel that Feminism is worth talking about.
You cling onto your past actions... Hmm. Well so do I. I've done plenty that I'm not proud of too. I guess we've both done wrong in our own eyes.

You see this is the thing.
I don't understand what it's like to be a woman. So when I hear a feminist talking about womens issues I come in with an open mind.
I may be a man, but I don't understand most of the problems that men face (being relatively sheltered). So when a MRM talks about men's issues I come in with an open mind.
I don't identify as either simply because my life experience has sheltered me from truly understanding the gender related issues that are faced by men and women world wide. However I want to understand. I endeavour to be informed on both view points.

More like stupid things on my part.
Anyway, the two sides will not find a middle ground. Why? Because you got the men who believe they're the master race and they are in truth control freaks and feminazis labeling all men as rapists and blaming them for whatever happens. In debates like this there must always be a victor. Will both sides gain equal status? Will women be returned to the house, subject to man's rule? Or will men be phased out the second one female Human is able to impregnate another?
It's a conflict that'll last for a long time. Its been raging for a long while now and will continue to do so, more likely both sides being corrupted more in the process. Humans want to have a higher standing than others all the time.

You'll get a few pure viewpoints from those pure enough to see with a clear and open mind. However, few are that way. The rest want a higher position of power. The first step is Gender, then followed by race, then religion, and the list continues. Once the first three are dealt with, then things are bound to get... interesting.

The 1 Janitor's Das Jus Me Doe has covered both men's and women's issues without the "supremacist" approach.

Dismissing people who disagree with them by strawmanning them or playing victim.
With equal pay laws and equal rights in place, the practical purpose for feminism has diminished greatly.
This generation of feminists are essentially fighting for relevance. Which is why many go off the deep end and devote their time to trivial issues using the same buzzwords they used for greater issues, devaluing said words in the process.
This scientist's shirt is sexist and driving women out of STEM. This comic cover is sexist. This poem is transmisogynist.
On the other side of the coin, MRM talk about issues which are actually important, like divorce and custody laws. However, their solutions involve tipping fedoras at one another for hours, sharing personal stories about why women suck.
The biggest thing that grabs me about both is that neither care for each other's genuine points. If Feminism and MRM were really about equality like they claim, they wouldn't be opposed to each other so often. Feminism is ultimately about making the western world better for women mostly at the expense of men. MRM is about making the western world better for men mostly at the expense of women.
And that is why although I agree with points from both, I am incredibly leery about people who identify as either but claim they want equal rights. If they really wanted equal rights, they'd be Egalitarians or Humanists.

I feel that there are aspects of society that favour men over women and aspects of society that favour women over men.
I can't see why these two movements can't just get along. They're both fighting for gender equality right?
Because the feminists don't want equality, they want things to cater to them; essentially having their cake and eating it. All of the privileges and none of the responsibility. The cause of feminism is irrelevant in most of Western society, equality legislation was enacted in the 1970's and 80's they are treated as equal by law, they're now simply whining about anything to keep themselves relevant and blaming everyone else for their own screw ups.
MRMs are the inevitable reaction to the fact political figures and the media have eaten up all the bullsh*t the feminists have come out with; while the MRMs do have relevant points based on how skewed certain parts of the law are in women's favour all they do is ****** and moan about it and how oppressed they are.

I honestly don't know where people find the time to hate or disregard people because of gender or race. It's petty and pointless. Let's just all live and let live, drop the trivial nonsense, and focus on how to make ourselves happy.
...it's never going to happen, is it?

I know right? Jellyfish such as ourselves are so badly discriminated against. I know we sting people who get too close, but we just want to hug the humans. What's wrong with that?
You make a fair point though. People in identity politics can get a bit overboard.

Matt Lee's is full of sh*t and anyone believing that moronic fool should have their head examined for brain damage.
"you've kind of been dealt the easy hand here" oh because I'm a man life is that much easier, oh well f*ck me I didn't know how privileged I was because I was born with a penis instead of a vagina.
Because one is born as a white guy, clearly we must go through life accepting that we're all so much better off than everyone else and should remember that when interacting with other people, along with the implicit residual guilt for our status in all interactions. Hence treat everyone with kid gloves no matter how much of a moron they are.
Edit:
God I forgot how irate Matt Lee makes me, then man is such an idiot.

More open minded people are usually cool with it as long as I hug with one tentacle at a time. That way my hugs will match my electric personality...without being fatal.

I HATE feminists and I hate it when men suppresses women too much but then again I just love it when a man can be a man and not cave under that feminism ****, he should be in control and take charge, he is the stronger sex for a reason. I'm lucky I live in Denmark though, we don't have any problems of either sex suppressing each other here. It's very varied.
