There is so such thing as playing a support role.
In Gold and Platinum, it isn't uncommon for the most useful player to get a relatively low amount of points. Of course, they could just be terrible, but if they're completing objectives, shield boosting or debuffing enemies, they are invaluable, but will get barely any points. the other day I saw a Volus Vanguard with the Predator pistol. Got below 20K points, but on wave 11 he kept us all alive. So, y'know.

On the other hand, I regularly get killed by support Volus because their unnecessary shield boost spam bugs me and 2m in front of a Phantom is a bad place to realize you can't shoot or use powers.

I find there are two types of matches. One where everyone in the lobby has pretty much the same amount of points, or ones where someone (whether it be you, or another player) have a HUGE amount of points, and the others barely any. A good indication of the second is if the other players have lower N7 points or challenge points, and one of them is very high... Or if someone enters the lobby with the Widow X or something.
I don't even have the Widow I... I'm missing the Adas, the Executioner, the Graal, the Widow, the Krysae, the Collector Sniper Rifle, the Saber, the Particle Rifle, the Talon, the Wraith, the Venom and the Hurricane. ![]()

Since your race cannot use Biagra, your eDong will forever be shriveled as Volus are, however you may apply to Krogan Master Species for a Quad, thus insuring your races' faux superiority over pugs butthurt and raising the level of troll **** in this thread ![]()

Starting a new manifest actually has me questioning if the level of a gun really matters. Example: I recently played a match where someone was using the Black Widow X and I had my Black Widow I. We were both infiltrators so we had the same damage boost, but I actually doubled their score.
So while the higher level is nice for more ammo, I think it ultimately depends on the player as far as effectiveness

the irony of this is that their quads don't work at all, because of a disease created by an ovuliparious species who possibly don't even have dongs. Burn
speaking of which...

They do work. The Genophage just causes stillbirths and other fatal birth defects.
The Krogan didn't get sterilized. They lost the ability to have reliably viable offspring.

People still judge by N7 points?
Naw. Minimum of 120 is fine. Less is a bit iffy on Gold and beyond though.
I judge by challenge points, chosen kit and equipped weapons/gear.

No. Support is worthless. Four people killing is a 1,000 times better than 3 people killing and one idiot shield boosting. Kill fast. Kill often.
You want to stay alive on wave 11? Try not to kill anything unless absolutely necessary, and stay away from the extraction zone until about 10 seconds left. Enemies can't infinitely respawn if you don't kill them. Easiest wave in the game!

I don't understand how folks expect new pugs to the game to keep up with those that have way more time into this game? Am I the only one that understands & remembers how much I improved since my pugs days? Not to mention manifest issues.
You also have to remember that a lot of player must be new to this genre since many like me must have avoided the first/third person shooter genre until the "RPG" Mass Effect games brought us into it. I know ME series was the first type of it's kind that I played. And that it took me some time until I even learned what the heck right hand advantage even was.
Anyway. I don't blame pugs for leaving matches where one's Edong gets the better of them. Heck, even now I'll leave matches where I see one get totally carried with cheese (nade spamming all wave 1 mooks, etc) while I'm in the mood for relaxing and playing low/weak epeen dps hipster setups. But yeah, if I'm playing to strong of a setup and epeening it up, I totally don't blame pugs from bailing or not sticking around for another match (and it does happen for this reason). But when I don't let epeen take over, entry level pugs usually always stay for more. It's that simple. But it's a concept that eludes BSNers for as long as I can remember. And I think it's the biggest issue with this game because it's so unbalanced.

I don't carry entire games. Most of the time I'm going for challenges, so I'm using less than optimal kits/weapons. That gives PUGs a chance to actually play.
If I used only the max cheese combinations, then I'd get bored very, very quickly.

I dont expect new PUGS to hold their own..They pretty much have no clue what is even going on around them..They more than likely dont even understand the different difficulty settings...They just do U/U/U/U and wind up where ever---I DO expect someone showing me a good character with a great loadout to contribute alot...not just eat the floor as most of them wind up doing leaving me or someone else to mop up their mess...hence my hesitation in picking lobby's...Been fooled wayyyyyyyy 2 many times.

Not saying I always extract, but how some of them even happen with what I seen in the lobby, I still can't believe it sometimes.
These really poor lobbies are also reasons I can still play Gold. I can't last with an epeen the whole time. Need to relax and just do whatever in a whatever kind of pug matchup.
In other words, I just landed in a UUG GIP with a Harrier GI and Harrier AUI. Just didn't have the heart to stick around. And folks like this should set it to private if they don't want to wait for the lobby to fill up. ... K, I'm going to role pug lottery again, wish me luck.
EDIT - going to turn my XBOX off. Another bad day, two days in a row, in pug lottery. Goodnight.
