Any news regarding patching the rediculous respawn rate on trashmobs?

Or the grinding bears plague is spreading so this is DA:Bears spin-off on consoles:

Yet another case of copying Skyrim too closely.

Yet another case of copying Skyrim too closely.

As if copying Skyrim at all is a good thing...

Yeah fun fact: the bears are actually dropping one of the best materials in the game, so this is probably such that we can grind them. Truth be told, if horses actually gave you a proper speed boost, I would not bother with the fluffy assholes, but the maps are terribly optimized for horseback riding (well most of them are, the 1 that is sort of flat, is also the most boring), but horses are too slow and get stuck too often, so even those things knock me off all the time. Not to mention their aggro range is practically infinite, so once you engage you will not disengage until it's killed.

Feelin' like an MMO yet? Don't you love that feeling?

I don't remember bears spawning all the time in Skyrim, though.

There were lots of bears in DAO, but they weren't a b!tch to kill. Also, things didn't respawn in that game... like they do in DAI (and  MMOs, gee...) In Skyrim, things at least take days to respawn, whereas in DAI, everything respawns frequently and often right in front of you. There's hardly any time for respite in this game.

I ever tell you guys about that pointless Great Bear quest in the Hinterlands, and how three Great Bears spawned all around us? Everyone died except me. GG, Bioware.

I use to be scared of the Great Bears... until...... and I do not know if they patched this or not...
I was fighting one of them and I knew that each hit would lower my health by alot because I saw the affect of the body slam thing that they do..
however at one point the bear was right in front of me and was about to do the paw swipe and when he did it.... I was completely unhurt... multiple times on multiple days I let the bear do his paw swipe and as long as I was standing right in front of him as close as possible. I would not be hit... it was only when i was positioned to the side of the attack that I was hurt. soooo it was actually pretty easy to kill them.

Bears still spawn prodigiously in Hafter's Woods, but it seems that BioWare removed the lyrium smuggler losers that used to spawn around the region and automatically home in on the party.

Other than that, I haven't really noticed any changes to the random encounter spawns. As always, some are funkier than others; it doesn't seem to be too big a problem in most regions.

I will kill them as quickly as they respawn. The bears can try to take over Thedas, but they'll have to work for it.

That's funny because I'm trying to hunt for great bears and I can't seem to find any! Grr, it's starting to annoy me,

Only place I see them respawn regularly is in the Emerald Graves, particularly around this one area that has a crater that a rift appears over.

At low levels, bears are pretty nasty, but once you're tougher and know how to use your abilities in combination, I don't find bears particularly threatening.

They didn't, people just hate on Skyrim for the sake these days.

They should be hating on mmo's like WoW and Perfect World because DA I is far closer to those than it ever is to Skyrim..

Do you even Rift, bro?

But srsly. Once you get high level, Bears spawn in the Rift like crazy. Their agro range makes it almost impossible to just ignore them, since the map marker won't disappear and you'll hear battle music until you kill them.

I usually have pretty bad problems with bears respawning quickly on the Stormcoast near Long River and in Emprise Du Lion, but those are always Great Bear.. now that I think about it, the respawn time seems to happen faster when I'm near a river or a lake. :P

Personally had way more issues with those Giants and strange rhino type creatures in the forest map myself, they were a serious nightmare.

Strange; the only thing I know of that that keeps bears away is...

Grr, it's starting to annoy me,

...the presence of...

Grr

...other...

Grr

...bears....

(psst, everyone else who's not DarkKnightHolmes : I think there's a bear loose in this thread.  Step away quietly and also the respawning mobs add an element of risk to collection quests).

I'm on my fifth playthrough and have never had any problems with bears or had any spawn right on top of my team. They've always been easy to evade in both Storm Coast and Hinterlands due to their low numbers and I've also used them to complete the ram meat quest. In Emprise I've seen a bear only twice; once in current playtrough and once in one of the earlier playthroughs. I'm quite fine with them.

When I saw the thread topic, I thought it was a spin off of the gay KISA thread.
