So I have this huge backlog of games I want to play and complete, some great RPGs like ,Pillars of Eternity but since Jaws of Hakkon got released I can't seem to get enough of the game!! I am now replaying as both Dalish DW(most of the time) rogue and Quinari Mage(set on Necro) and also started to play Multiplayer again! Even managed to complete Perilious few times too.

I think I should just relax and play DAI until Witcher 3 release, and then eventually go through my backlog later. Anyway, just wanted to share lol. Bioware know what they are doing, game is so addicting and fun even with some flaws I see in it(like never really worrying about Cory).

I don't think you need to feel guilty because you're enjoying a lot of games.

After 4 runs I'm done with DAI until the next DLC or next sequel.

Witcher's gonna be wicked. From the sound of it, it'll be much longer and the graphics is stunning. I just upgraded to NVidia 750 and able to play DAI on ultra but Witcher recommends 770......hope I can still play on high. Can't wait.

Its just that, being in my late 20's and married with kid - I haven't got much time to play games - and instead of completing the new ones I bought  - I am replaying DAI:)

Don't feel bad. It's only natural when it comes to BioWare games. I am too replaying the game over and over (on my 5th playthrough now) and before that much of my time was spent playing the Mass Effect trilogy (around 13 or so complete playthroughs by now, plus hundreds of hours of multiplayer).

Meanwhile, my backlog of unfinished other games just keeps growing. At the moment I'm at around 20 or so games that I've bought that I really want to play, but dem BioWare games are very difficult to get away from.

Why should you feel guilt? It's unnecessary and overdramtic. Enjoying something is part of the life.  ;)

I guess you are right:) !i should stop stressing and a overthinking and just enjoy some more DAI:)

I'm glad to see I'm not only one with the backlog though! I have replayed ME 2&3 many times as well, but never got too into ME1 and DAO/DA2... I think what really makes me love newer Bioware games is this perfect mix of action, narrative, companions(can't call them NPC sorry they feel too real for that) flashy graphics and atmosphere.

It's also nice to see how this community really differs from others - nice, thoughtful and polite. Most of the time.

Eh, I don't have a kid, but I am 30, married, and have a full-time job, so I understand limited gaming time.

To be honest, I've pretty much stopped buying new games because I end up never playing them or I end up playing them for a few hours, going "meh", and returning to replay old favorites. At this point, I'm down to just buying anything new from BioWare and Bethesda because those two developers are the games I replay all the time and never get bored no matter how many playthroughs (Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout).

DAI hasn't left my PS4 since November. No guilt, no regrets. Why feel guilt for playing something you enjoy? Why put some sort of pressure on yourself to play other games? When it's your freetime, do what makes you happy. Period.

i have a backlog of PS4 games but I cannot stop playing this game (finished JOH and now starting on a new male dwarf rogue). Felt like wasting all my money (on the PS4 games) and i even spent 3 days just playing MP when it is not even that fun (and I still cannot get any of the any characters' schematics!!!    )

LOL.

But it sure is addictive. or I just love DA too much.

Huge backlog of games + replaying (old) games + real life responsibilities = guilt feeling. The bane of any gamer's life, I know that feeling.

Just as a hint for MP, you'll unlock characters a lot faster by crafting their armor rather than hoping their armor drops in a store chest.

You get crafting materials by salvaging equipment/weapons you won't be using (such as weapons you get that aren't better than what you already have, for example).

Then, go to the armor crafting tab. Once there, you can sort through all the different characters. If you have enough materials to fill all the slots, you can simply craft the starter armor for that character and BAM. Character is now unlocked for you to play and all their other armor schematics are now unlocked so you can craft them once you get more material gathered.

MUCH faster that way.

Whoa. A moment. GTX750, running Inquisition on Ultra?

What's the rest of that rig. I can't run it Ultra on GTX770.

I... do... sport an older model of processor and RAM, however...

No, you do not need schematics to unlock new characters in MP. You already have them, so to speak, you just unlock the ability to use them either by crafting the armor yourself or hoping the store chest gives you one.

It's much faster to craft, frankly.

Nope no need for guilt.

My 4th (and canon) play through is at the 160 hours mark, pre-Arbor Wilds.

Jaws of Hakkon is very enjoyable, it is brutal and I'm a level 24 with all 10 dragons slaughtered.

I'm playing on hard but even so....

I'm in the same boat as OP. I have a HUGE backlog of games on my Steam account but I just beat Inquisition with about 103 hours in it (at least 2 or 3 are "idle" hours.) and by the time I hit the 90th or so hour I was already planning my second play through. I'm going "Qunari mage-hard".

I'm 50+ hours into my 4th playthrough.  And going back to old playthroughs as the whim hits to level up to do the expansion content.

It is just possible BW knows a little about what they are doing here...

I've got sort of the opposite problem; I love DA:I and I'm trying to do my completionist run, but I keep getting sidetracked by new games.

I can trump that, I bought a complete new bloody PC :D  And then replayed Origins and DA:2 so as to get the effect of all three games back-to-back.

Got almost everything maxed out on ultra, and it's as smooth as glass. Not encountered a single bug or glitch so far, with the exception of a piece of loot in Redcliff dungeons that I was unable to interact with.

Took me forever to get used to the new kkeyboard and mouse control mechanism, and at first I utterly hated it... almost to the extent that I began to have serious doubts about whether I could ever really get into this game, and wondering if I'd wasted my money. After a week or so, I started to get a bit more used to it. It's starting to feel a lot more fluid now.

So I am actually enjoying DA:I, despite all my initial reservations. Oh, there's a lot of things that I'd like to see revised or done differently. I still hate the eight-spell/ability limit on the action bar, loath the lack of a proper tactics screen... and I utterly abhor the lack of out of combat health regen with a bitter passion. But even so I'm still wanting to play it every day, so it must be doing something right!
