Opinion on what class to play in all three games.

So like the title says I want to start with origins and play through to inquisition, because I haven't done that yet. I'm thinking of playing the games like so.
Origins: Human warrior 2 handed weapons.
DA2: Warrior 2 handed weapons.
Inquisition: Elven mage.
But I'm not sure if that will be fun, can I get some people's opinions on what they think will be fun?

Without knowing what role you like playing, it's nigh impossible to suggest something.

Rogue is my favorite warden class for Origins by far, though I spend a lot of time controlling Morrigan in combat, which gives me the best of both worlds.
For DA:2, I like to play a Mage. I typically have a two-Mage party, with one DPS (usually Isabella) and one tank. One Mage is set up for utility, basic healing, AOE and CC, the other for pure DPS and AOE.
For DA:I I'm still on my first playthrough and still at level 10, but I'm playing a Rogue, and just starting to get to grips with the class. I found him very, very squishy to begin with, but I'm gradually gaining insights and understanding, so that things are getting better. Been trying different builds and I've finally found one that seems to be working for me.

I prefer sword & shield for a warrior in Origins but 2-hander is cool too. I personally find the human noble to have the most interesting end game story line which I won't spoil but you can look it up if you want to. I also like the city elf (male) for role playing because his origin is dark as hell.
All the classes are fun to play in Inquisition. The only problem I have is that the mage class is immobile when using the staff which can screw you up once in a while but not a game breaker.

Dragon Age Origins Proving Grounds Nightmare Mage Solo No PotionsDragon Age: Origins Nightmare Solo Mage destroys Ishal Ogre with No Healing or Kiting in 40 secondsSoloing the archdemon as a general CC/nuker mage
They also have an auto attack animation that looks like they're constipated and like they're lightly poking something. Magic damage scales badly so that your magic damage starts to drop off pretty bad after level 16 (and you better ONLY ever put points into magic, because slightly deviating from that to raise constitution or willpower just means even weaker damage for spells late-game)... Unless you're dropping storm of the centuries on stuff, in which case you better not be within 100 meters of it or your party is going to die pretty much instantly (and they're too stupid to avoid it). And their only truly powerful is about as boring as anything could be, an arcane warrior with an awful attack rating that can barely hit anything with awful damage as well and they can't even properly cast spells because of their fatigue rating and mana draining speed and needing to sheath their weapon for nearly every offensive spell in the game, their only advantage is being invincible and... Not much else to speak of.
Your videos proved absolutely no point.

You are mistaken. I don't care to prove anything. We are giving our opinions. You are of the opinion that "mages sucks ass". I think they are great. The videos I posted are merely illustrations why I think they are. And you have now posted why you think they "suck ass".
We clearly have two differing opinions. I have given my opinion, and it doesn't agree with yours.

I personally found dual wielding rogue and a mage specializing in primal spells to be the most fun in Origins, and a mage in DA2. Though two-handed warrior is also fun in DA2.

2H warrior combat, though impressive in theory, seems to be a bit clanky in DAO, so it might not be all that fun - I know it wasn't for me. That certainly changes in DAII, where combat is a lot quicker and there are some really cool skills to pick.
And I agree about mages in DA:I, their spells make combat a lot of fun.
If you're asking me... I had the most fun playing as a rogue in DAO, mage in DAII and a sword/shield warrior in DA:I. ![]()

Rogue! Anything rogue-like; dual-wield daggers, sword and shield, bow or crossbow. .
Why?:
Lockpicking! - you definitely need that!
Persuasion! - Cunning becomes main stat for rogues due to lethality, and makes persuasion even more effective.
Stealth! - Boom BAD-ASS backstabs and able to scout for better tactics for a battle
Trap Detection - Ever blew up with a warrior and mage due to a trap and then hp went half right away; You won't experience that with rogues.
Damage Dealer - awesome dps no matter what you do! 1 hit Arrow of Slaying to any elite except elite bosses or bosses.
Dodge - that Dodge though, Duelist Stance + Keen Defense + Dex (w/c adds dodge) = really? you need to ask that?
Armor Pen - Remember Cunning? it adds armor pen as well! and since its a main stat. . .do i need to spell it out?
So to summarize: . . . .Awesome Survivability, Great Damage, Tactician from beginning to end, Has early access to locked chests/doors. Drawbacks would be low hp. . but You don't need to go frontal right? Whats the use of Stealth
?
Though I haven't played DA2 and DAI. . this is what you get for DAO ![]()

Both rogue and mage are a lot of fun. With rogue, it's more dual daggers than archery. Archery becomes a lot more fun in Awakening.
For specs, I get a lot of fun out of both Shapeshifter and Ranger.

Playing mage in DA:O isn't about the auto-attack, it's about using the right spells at the right time and place and combining them into potent spell combinations. They're easily the most powerful and complex class in the game (perhaps excepting Awakening when every class reaches god mode).
I always play on NM difficulty and rarely touch storm of the century or AW: instead I use fast and devastating AoE abilities like Blood Wound, Walking Bomb (& Virulent Walking Bomb), Fireball (often combined with Grease), Firestorm, Affliction Hex, Stinging Swarm and Shockwave (Force Field + Crushing Prison) while rendering mobs immobile with the Blood Wound paralysis effect, the paralysis explosion spell combination and Glyph of Repulsion (which can trap an entire mob if cast effectively in choke points). There are numerous other exceptional skills such as Mana Clash, Sleep (particularly when combined with Horror for the Nightmare combo effect) and Waking Nightmare. By DA:O Awakening, mages become even more OP - Blood Mage/Battle Mage/Keeper is simply the god of massive AoE damage when you throw Hand of Winter and One with Nature + Thornblades + Nature's Vengeance into the mix.

The down side to playing a mage in DA2 is that you get stuck with Carver. He gets a bit whiny. If you play a warrior you get Bethany and can hit things really hard. If you play a rogue and can experience the maximum amount of the game.
I enjoyed playing a rogue in DA2 the most. But YMMV.
