She was supposed to be in a better version of the Citadel coup. Tied into some of the story they used in Kasumi's mission, where a Hanar was indoctrinated. Also Armistan Banes from ME1 and that Terra Firma dude were involved... something about planting a bomb in the Wards. Emily tells Shep to strap a camera on them while they explore the Wards, and she reports it live.

 

Instead we got all kinds of rewrites..... and Diana Allers.

 

That sounds way better. Emily Wong was one NPC I actually liked in ME1.
