Hah, smartphones, a technological stepping stone that's so far entirely avoided by me. My current mobile phone is a Sony Ericcson K700i ... let that one sink in.
I avoided it for a few years, using my boyfriend's old phones (well okay, technically smartphones but of the much earlier end of what we'd now call it) and restricting to phone and text 90% of the time.
Got a smartphone (by current standards) last year, a Moto G, and gradually getting used to it and what it can do. And now getting the itch that it isn't advanced enough to play the games and use the apps I like quickly and smoothly enough. So I guess I'm getting a new one next year, 2017 latest, after I pay off my 'WIND (Mobile) Tab'.
I'm actually hoping that my next phone will either be my last or second last, and that technology akin to Google Glass catches up to popularity and usefulness enough that its the new standard as we go into the 2020s. I have no particular attachment to using a phone, and I'm okay with anything visor-like as long as it looks good enough and is somehow more convenient than a phone. I acknowledge and even kinda agree with the 'Glassholes' stuff, but I don't think that negates the possibilities with that line of technology.
