Aren't Vampires undead? It's been done to death in literature, movies, tv and games.
Fair enough. So let me correct my mistake: Skeleton romance has been done before in a game.

I kid you not, when I tell you that undead romance has actually been done before in a game:
Spoiler
Surely Bioware doesn't want to be outdone in the weird romance department, so skeleton posessed by a lesbian desire demon as companion and LI when?
Well she is most sexy romance. Spoilers and I mean real spoiler if you didn't play game.
Well, I just found this:

I think everyone agrees that the exposed ribcages, shining row of strong teeth and their dark, cold skin has been so... enthralling.
Just look at how happy Morrigan and Alistair are with the love of their (undead) life!
Are you convinced yet?!
No! No, no, no, no, nooooooo!!!
I don't want a Darkspawn romance, I want a Darkspawn that can be interacted with in a meaningful and intricate way that can split into disdain, neutrality, rivalry, friendship, or even a relationship that is physically intimate and emotionally bonding!

Mate, you're late to the party. ![]()
Fashionably late, or just plain late?
To be infected with the taint is to be a ghoul.
To be born from the taint is to be a true Darkspawn.
Perhaps, however tainted females are essential to Darkspawn reproduction since they are the ones corrupted/mutated into Broodmothers.
Well, I just found this:
This made me laugh hard.

What about fabulously late?

They should do a darkspawn romance just for the lolz.

Maybe like the Javik "romance" in the Citadel DLC.
Maybe like the Javik "romance" in the Citadel DLC.
I would rather they dedicated considerable time into it so as to improve the depth of Darkspawn as a race.
Well, I just found this:

W.T.F.!!!???

I'm in heaven..
As Sten would say...... "No"
"Inquisitor..." the husky voice of the Magister was barely a whisper. The heart of the Inquisitor beating like a solid drum. The dark, aged skin of Corypheus glistening in the moonlight, his eyes hungry and full of lust and desire, staring down at the Herald beneath him. His long slender fingers caressed their cheek.
"I love you," he said, pressing a kiss on the lips of Andraste's Chosen.
Story brought to you by Stephanie Meyer, veteran writer experienced with stories involving centuries old virgins and pretty little wallflowers.
I'd buy that for a dollar.

Sure, but at that point they are not yet mutated into Broodmothers, which I suppose would be considered Darkspawn.
. . .of course, then we get to the interesting point of trying to figure out when a ghoul is mutated into a Darkspawn. (Corypheus is a Darkspawn, but we know he was a human so one could say he was at one point a ghoul in his transformation.) And we don't really have enough answers for that.
