My only beef with W8 is how it assumes you have a touchscreen. Other than that, I like it.

So far these past six months I have put 120 hours into Warframe and 20 into ME3 mp so I can safely say I've found a different buggy piece of crap co op mp to play/grind meaninglessly, but I can't quit ME3 MP entirely, because Turians.
So much about that game wound up going in directions I didn't like. Discoframe and the awful implementation of Kubrows was pretty much the end for me, though I vowed to return if Derf ever made it into the game.

I want to like that game again ![]()

Do what I did and get one of those custom start menu programs. I don't spend any time in that Metro ****, and I do have a touchscreen.

Wait for Windows 10, you'll get all the goodies of Win8 (and better) with the ease of use of Win7. Or whatever else you want, since you can easily mod it, too.
I can stop anytime I want!

It keeps saying my recommended settings for Civ V are touch screen enabled
but i'm like "I don't have a touch screen."
my first world struggles.
Windows 8? I'll happily skip right past it to 10, assuming 10 doesn't flip PC Gaming a big bird as well.

From the sounds of recent Microsoft announcements, they are still incredibly disconnected from what PC game enthusiasts actually want. It doesn't bode well.

I get the feeling I'll probably reach this point too, though, probably sooner than later. A lot of the changes they've been making lately have been pretty poorly thought out and implemented, it often feels really obvious to me that the devs don't play the actual game.
I would advise some caution on the matter lest you end up in my situation ... I don't have a full manifest and probably never will, but the first time I got my BoTB, the day after I couldn't pick the game up no matter what. I felt I had nothing left to play for and didn't touch the game for almost a year. Then I solved that problem by starting over on a new account and then another one still and eventually went back to playing on this old account, so all is good now.
But better 'hurry slowly' I'd say.
haha, I guess the BoTB banner made you feel emptiness at that time, and I have imagined this before, "why would I still play if what I want is only the BoTB banner?" and for some other games, similarly you won't play them any more if you unlocked all achievements and once you've done this you can delete the game as it worth nothing..
But finally I figured it out, BoTB or All BlackCards, they are just an excuse for me to play, the true reason is I love playing it, it's really FUN!

I have no idea what that means but it sounds pejorative.
All the games I've run on Windows 8.1 have worked fine, far smoother than on 7.
Nearly all the games I've tried to run on Windows 10 PTP work fine, the exceptions being some whose library layers were killed by build 10041 a couple weeks back.
10 PTP has noticeable performance improvements over 8.1.

Yes, I got the first one quite a long time ago, probably before having a maxed manifest became a thing, so I never thought much about my manifest. But it was a truly horrible feeling, waking up without an ME3 agenda the morning after. ![]()
Yeah when I play ME3, it's single player and it's for like 30 minutes. I have a maxed PC manifest. I have a maxed PS3 manifest. I have an almost maxed 360 manifest.
But frankly this game has run its course for me.
However BSN is its own entity and I still like a few of the people here.
I haven't seen you on the PS3 side in ages Limbs....
...come back and pay us a visit... ![]()
I cant stop playing this game.
I hate it. All the bs. Yet here I am playing and posting.
You need to hate moar so you can feel the rage gel and rage rocket flow through you, then you will buy the game for every platform it is on ![]()

Possibly more than once....
I can't stop playing either. I wander off for a bit to something else but I always come back to it, and mostly on my maxed manifest account. It still never fails to make me laugh.
Still don't have a (legit) BotB though because...yaaaaaaaaaaaaawn so boring (and scrubiness); got mine on extraction DCs by accident. ![]()

I heartily endorse this product and/or service.

I feel you.
Probably the only cure there is, will be ME4
But of course this will mean to replace one evil with another.

Direct X 12 is the only real thing that interests me. If I get 20 FPS for free that's immediately worth upgrading.

Since I'm nothing to do with Microsoft, I can't offer any guarantees, but I can tell you that DirectX 12 is working well on my desktop machine, under Windows 10 PIP Build 10074. Things are stabilizing very nicely these days, so no need to wait.
I thought you gona say this: https://youtu.be/azI_RlDHTBE?t=15s
Why the **** would you think I'd say that?

The latest PIP is 10130 I think
Glad they brough Aero back. But June 29th for a final release seems too rushed.

Not you, the OP.

Nowhere did I say that 10074 was the latest. It's simply what I have right now. They don't push all the builds automatically, so yes, you can get 10130 if you want. And as I said, I can't guarantee that they haven't royally ****** it up - because they have before! ![]()
