Well it makes sense people on here were so easy to get into this game on the PC, it seems like alot of people on here are PC gamers
it was just hard for me considering this was the first game I played on the PC that wasn't a FPS lol.
Could you ever go back to console version?

Also can someone help a guy out here , the one thing I hate about this game (I love it so much so this is kinda annoying for me) is the portraits. I love---looooooove DAI for getting rid of them , I'm too much of a perfectionist about these things , I want them to look good cause well it's going to be on the screen 99% of the time.
This is my character I'm working with , can someone give me some tips on how to make the character's portrait to look good. Here's another picture if you don't know what I'm talking about

My favorite version of of character portraits shows the image displaying some aspect of personality. For instance, my canon (a Surana female) shows her with the view slightly to the side and a little smirk on her face since it displays her 'playful' attitude. Similarly with my CE who was a cocky, self assured rogue type, only the view was more frontal, with the same smirk, even more pronounced. The pic of my King Cousland is more 'eyes on the prize' and makes him look like he's seeing something important just over the horizon.
And, of course, I tinkered with lighting coloration and moved them around, side to side, looking up, looking down, till satisfied. Also I used the Character Creator demo program (the download should still be available from the old website if you haven't gotten it) till I was satisfied and saved them to the files in that, not relying on each individual game to try making my PC's exactly how I wanted them. I am unsure if this is available on Xbox/PS, but since your Cousland looks like he has some mods on him, I don't think XBox/PS is an issue with that.
The link below should be straight to my old profile page showing the Surana and Cousland pics I mention, to illustrate. The old Tabris one is long gone now.

So annoying portraits are lol I must be like the only person who has trouble with something this small. I could never be one of those types of people who do things like this.

Controlling the camera with the WASD was just never in my interest. I find that whole thing very confusing and often hurting on my hand lol. This was my first real game that wasn't a multiplayer game I played on the PC so for me at least it kinda makes sense how annoying it was for me lol. Also I have a 6TB hard-drive it's just I'm a bit OCD about things I consider wasted space , so I uninstall things alot and reinstall things alot.....it's kinda annoying.
You could change the keybindings. For example QWES are the movement keys for the character. AD actually makes the camera pan. You could swap these settings to make the WASD keys control the character and the QE pan the camera. Or ignore panning the camera at all and just use the mouse for that. That's what I did, anyway. I controlled camera with the mouse and ran with the keys.

I liked DAI's style for portraits too, just hated that I had no control over my own. Sucks if you're not actually fond of the glowing green hand. Though I honestly never felt any connection to my inquisitor at all despite playing the hell of the game so I guess it doesn't matter anyway. I'm going off topic, ahem.
Anyway far as I know you can actually change your portrait to be anything you like rather easily. I did it years ago back before you could use custom avatars in the forum as a sly workaround since you could use DAO portraits as avatars.

So you could find a more generic portrait of a sword+shield or something along those lines and turn that into a portrait, assuming you can edit photos. If not, well, I'd offer to adjust the size or whatever of a picture you want. Easy enough. I think.

It's been a while so "bump" I don't bump that often but once I finish a certain game I'm planning on returning to Dragon Age~ (Origins then 2 and then the new one)
However idk which version I feel like it, I made my point about the console version. Those warm nights on the couch, wrapped in a blanket with my kitty on my lap enjoying a nice cold drink as I do side-quests and such~
Or enjoy round two of my fully modded adventure, so many mods so many different ones lol.

Still on console, so I'd have to bravely say yes.
