When scanning planets for resources, I do notice that even though my resource meter bar gets full, I am still able to scan and gather that resource. And the number does still increase. But the little paranoid guy inside me wonders if continuously gathering resources when the meter bar is full has a side effect. Like diminishing returns on gathering? Is it better if I deplete some of them first before scanning planets? Or is it okay? And if so what's the meter bar for then?
