Yes, and in turn to a smaller extent these also end up as those you'd like to avoid. Though avoiding is another story entirely, because if I always actively go for avoiding, I'd do more searching then playing.

 

And I'm also not counting playing with friends. I usually say nothing in that case, and let them bask in all their epeen glory. 

 

 

The irony of refusing to use OP kits/gear while simultaneously using the 6/6/6/6/6 glitch is truly delicious 

 

All 6 kits are not more OP then the things I've listed.

Although there are some kits that I do not find fun, like all the Volus for example. I wouldn't ban them though... who knows, maybe in a few months I'll be rocking with them. 

 

Volus Merc is the best kit in the game, in my opinion.

 

 

on another note, I don't understand the rationale behind skipping a power that the kit is based around (QME or Demolisher arcnades, for an example in the OP),

Most of the kits I generally don't use.

 

Drell, don't use.

 

Don't use any of the common weapons other than the Mantis and maybe the Avenger or Predator depending how I'm feeling.

 

Don't use the Vindicator or the Raptor.

Awww come on, you could at least play the Geth, too. They are your creations after all.

I played the non Juggy ones some at the beginning of my current account because RNG decided to troll me by unlocking all of them before I got the three quarian males, and I wanted Machinist banner anyway. Haven't really touched them since. GI is boring compared to other weapon platforms that play similarly, GTS is a REALLY boring one button wonder and I find it to be extremely annoying both to play as and play with in a lobby. Juggy is lol. I have never deployed that piece of crap on any of my accounts, and I never will. It is the antithesis of my playing style, and I could never see myself having fun with it unless I put on a Batglove just to troll some other BSNers.

GE is sort of okay, but I find both Hunter Mode and Geth Scanner take away the thinking aspect of playing the game and almost completely remove any mistakes. The enemies aren't hard to kill, so If I know where they all are than there is literally no challenge except for how fast I can slaughter them, and if I want to do that than I'll rather just throw GC5 and a ridiculous anti-armor weapon on a QMI. Scanner only gets used on high piercing, weapon biased setups that aren't using the Javelin, because the other thermal scopes are really annoying by comparison. If I played GE, I'd probably put a Drill rounds 3 Saber on it and just wallbang the whole game, which I can similarly do with a Quarksman and have more fun challenging my aiming skill and speed.

That's right. The build I have in my profile is my fave kit and build in the game bar none. No way will I let anyone take this away from me. No way.

Same here.  The only things I generally don't use are Vanguards (other than the Cabal) because I rarely host, and the Reegar.  I don't avoid the Reegar because it's OP, and in fact, I'm not good enough that I can justify avoiding OP stuff.  I just don't find it fun to use.  Also, I feel like I'm using the gun in the "Geth server" mission in SP, where you need to use the electricity gun to defeat the mighty data worms.  That mission is excruciatingly boring.

Nothing on its own but there are combinations I won't use:

 

Reegar on anything other than the QMI (well, ok, Asari Valkyrie for cheese factor)

Vorcha Soldier/Sentinel with anything other than a BPP

Juggernaut with anything other than a Spitfire

 

That's pretty much it.

I don't care what other play, the can go with whatever they like, but personally I would never deploy the ol' TGI/Carrier or AIU/Reegar as that trivializes the game to a point where it's no longer any fun to play.

Eh, possibly. I wouldn't have fun playing the QME knowing that all I can do is spam incinerates and shoot things, with the occasional debuff, since that's basically what the QFE does in a far more interesting manner. Similar story with Demogirl and only HG/shooting. Saboturian and DAI both can do the same thing much more efficiently while performing other roles too, so she loses her identity along with her effectiveness. I have the same criticsm of the Arcnade only Demogirl. Sure, it's effective because lolarcgrenadesIwin, but the typical QMI and QME play similarly but do literally everything better

It's not about suboptimal builds in general, as those can be fun. Take any melee or TA/Barrier detonation build ever. Its that some builds offer no advantages over another kit that can do literally the exact same thing more effectively.

I wouldn't give up entirely on any character or weapon.  I am not very likely to use some characters, like the Fury or Flamer GTS though.  I will use almost any weapon, it just depends on the character.

lol, I just joined a game in progress that didn't look like it for me. Wave 3 objection starts and I think to myself if I leave my Salarian Decoy behind, could it glitch and stick around while I disappear? You know, to replace me. Guess I must of liked those odds because that's what I just did.
