I don't like cheaters but at this point the only recourse is to quit and look for a new lobby. As for the don't help with the objectives people, you could always do what I do and decide to not give a damn myself. I have a maxed manifest and almost 255 of every item (if the RNG would stop giving me freakin cryo when I'm already at the limit instead of what actually has gaps then this would become 255 of everything).
 

It doesn't bother me that much tbh and having had a maxed manifest myself for quite some time also not an issue.

I guess my point was that of the things to be annoyed at in this game, a persons choice of kit and / or weapon is not one of them.

I've played, and reserve the option to play, all the kits and all the weapons. The pleasure I take in doing so in the future will be greatly enhanced by the thought of the sheer volume of sweet tears you will all be shedding.

 

Now, based on this thread, what less obvious kits will maximize the output of BSN tears? I can't play the Reegar AIU and melee Juggernaut all the time.

I took fresh new player to Platinum and told one to keep pressing the "I win" Snap Cheese button, while his buddy to keep pressing the "Let me help the I win button" Triple Overload button. Ww did this for 3 matches to help the pugs make some money. Easiest Platinum matches I can recall. Thus I dub thee "The I win button." ... PS, never played with those pugs again. Even refused their invitation afterwards. And I've feel bad for setting them an such a horrible path...

 

You are bad, and you should feel bad.    I think I'm beginning to understand better why you feel the need to publicly flagellate yourself so much!  I've never engaged in any kind of farming (except in Solos), so I have never experienced this playstyle or the obvious shame which follows.    And don't go knocking the triple Overload button - it really is one of my favourite power evolutions - even when I shouldn't be using it!

 

As a serious follow up to what I said earlier, I use Geth Scanner much less than I used to, partly as I don't have it on any of my alts. It's also been a fair while since I took Grenade Gear into a match, although I will still use the Shocktrooper or Warfighter versions sometimes.

 

 

Now, based on this thread, what less obvious kits will maximize the output of BSN tears? I can't play the Reegar AIU and melee Juggernaut all the time.

 

Well, I would have thought the Saber Volus Merc would be an obvious first contender, no?

I don't use the Geth Scanner at all. I get by quite well by listening to the sounds of the enemies and using the AR/SR scopes.

I haven't heard this game in years - MP at least, as I listen to music mostly, so all the enemies are like Dragoons for me.  It's especially fun (or challenging) on Reactor Hazard.  I used to put subtitles on but subtitles are a crutch!

I can't play shooters without audio, I can pinpoint the location of any enemy just through sound, I'd be completely helpless without it.

Agree. I have to say that one of the deadliest things is an unmolested crab king. Silent. And suddenly tapping me on the shoulder.

Yes, I enjoy Tripple Overload too. I thingkShocktrooper & Warfighter is still alright and what I'm switching to for the remaining nade kits that I still use.

 

Geth Scanner really changed the way this game is played. So not using it all the time makes for greater variety too. Plus I'm starting to use some other Gear I've never used before, like Responder Loadout.

 

 

And Saber on my Volus Merc.  Why haven't I tried this yet? This will be my first match today. Thanks for the tip.

Even if I have Geth Scanner, everytime my 4 speaker Turtle Beach headset batteries die, for those few minutes playing while I wait for the perfect time to switch batteries... well, lets just say I feel very naked and scared. Surround sound and gaming is something I can't live with anymore. 

 

The other sad part is that some powers and weapon noise in this game is just too loud sometimes. And if a game ends up being too noisy with teammate sound fx, it does take away from the experience (especially something like the glitched Flamer sound that can never be escaped). I can play with an Electric Slash spammer next to me a whole game while sniping, but glitched Flamer sound is something I can't always fight off and usually forced to drop out. Especially when these Flamer guys don't even know Flamer can be turned off and having it going full duration even when the wave was long over. Yeesh. Makes me wish there was an option to in game Krogan smack teammates.

Only joking.  I have Turtle Beach PX5 headphones, which seem fine on xbox but suck on PS3, which is where I play mostly.  The hours I keep and my domestic circumstances usually mean I have to keep the tv turned down completely, so rather than play in total silence I just listen to music on my phone, with earphones.  I guess I do kinda miss the in-game sounds.  Well, some of them anyway - I usually find a way to hear a Krogan team, and never miss out on the wonderful sound of an Asari game

why is the paladin on your ban list? is it because you get a fire or ice shield? is it because its a knockoff of Mr.freeze? do you hate Mr.freeze puns? that's pretty cold of you to give the paladin the cold shoulder.

Maybe you should raise the flamer a bit higher. At eye level. Maybe Vorcha? So you can use clusters for the screenshake, loot grenade supplies and make Vorcha noises behind people's backs? I swear this guy sound like Jockey from L4D2 at times.

Well, on console, the 360 anyway, the Mattock's rapid trigger pulling isn't bad. Can be a bit excessive for bosses, but still not bad.

There are two kits, I never ever play, because they do not fit the game at all.

 

The BF3 Soldier - Shameless cross promotion that fits this game like a cow fits on a bicycle.

Awakened Collector - Collectors are Reaper soldiers, just as Husks and Marauders. ME2 explains very thoroughly why they're dead inside and can NOT awake.

 

So I just pretend those two aren't in the game.
