Ahhhhh, this explains it.  My friends and I were caught a bit by surprise - I had seen some comments here on the bsn about it, but still.  We also learned that on Threatening, we get 2 bosses...is that a usual thing? I can't imagine 2 samsons in a red templar dungeon, but I'm still pretty much a novice to mp, only having played Mass Effect's mp before.  Got to say, Calpernia + Samson = short-lived excitement at making it to room 5 on our first try at threatening lol

As it has been said, you will get 2 bosses on Threatening and 3 on Perilous, though they won't simply be clones of whatever faction boss you're facing (i.e.: you won't get 2-3 Samsons/Envy Demons/Calpernias).  You'll get the other bosses hopping it, though it seems like they've been nerfed somewhat, imo.

hah! I'm enjoying this. Course, while having DC and RTC tag team Zone 5 is...interesting, it does make for a different sort of challenge.

Correct, on Perilous if you get the assassinate objective in zone 4 the target will be a slightly weaker version of one of the commanders you will face in zone 5.

Happy hunting;)

I love that with all of your posts i can imagine you rubbing the backs of your hands like an evil scientist. Followed by a "muwahahahaha!"

Honestly, GTA Online's heist match-making is worse than DA MP.  Lose one person and the entire mission has to be abandoned, no matter how far along you are in it.

I'd rather deal with DA MP's match-making than GTA Online's.  I've wanted to punch a hole through my tv so many times when I tried to do GTA Online's heists that it's not even funny.  Seriously, WTF Rockstar?   <_<

That's not matchmaking, if you compare a heist to a raid (which essentially it is) then this is common over many instance.

If a player leaves a raid in any game, they are not replaced and the party has to leave and regroup.

As far as i can see we only have about 10 people playing at any time, if I don't walk into an empty lobby (about 15 times in a row, followed by 'Unable to find match, try later'), I bump into the same people all the time..

When I do get to play with other players they are always in Routine, come on, lvl 10+ in Routine? you should be ashamed of yourselves! (especially that lvl 20 Katari player who keeps dissing all lower levels for not getting the same number of kills he does ..)

If I was a lighthouse keeper on a secluded island somewhere and only had seagulls to play with then I could understand but I live in a highly populated area in a country with a few people in, perhaps I am the only player in the UK? (more likely I am one of the few who has not yet given up on DAIMP)

Its a freaking miracle we managed to get any stars on last weekends event, even if player base shoots up to a staggering 15 people at the weekends..  I think we deserve accolades for our efforts! :)

^ The main reason I am inviting more and more people I meet on DAIMP onto my friends list.  So I can at least have 4 people in a party fairly quickly instead of soloing to zone 4/5 and seeing people hop in due to poor matchmaking.  (I'm in Scotland, UK)

dwindling player base...

I don't even bother to set a match to private anymore when I want to solo for some weapon challenges because most likely no pug is there to join   (and I thought the European player base was kind of a larger one...)

In MEMP you could search for a lobby among your friends list.

In DAMP you can't do that can you?

You can highlight someone on your friends list and JOIN a game that way.  If that's what you mean.

Trouble is noone is playing it.  Hence finding people who ARE playing the game and befriending them is how I am playing it at the moment.

I have one American/Korean guy I play with almost every day and another American from Kansas when his job allows as his shift changed last week.  A lot of the time I am myself though but made some new "friends" last night, one from England that seems pretty cool.

A few long term gamer friends I have are still on Destiny every day (yeah I know), and Bloodbourne.

Thanks.

I'm thinking of the lobby settings on MEMP:

  • Public
  • Private
  • Friends

But looks like DAMP doesn't have that, I think.

For the record, PS3 did not have that on ME3MP either. Lobby was either Public or Private. No Friends Only option like on XBox. I don't recall if PC had that either, but I think they did not.

DAMP definitely doesn't on PS4.

I am the only cool one in England and I'm sure it wasn't me   ;)
