This is one aspect of the game they definitely need to rebalance. They put in the effort in making these treasure rooms part of the multiplayer experience, and the player base has simply jettisoned it. DAMP is sooooooooooooooooooooooo barebones already, they can't afford to have the player base simply refuse to play certain parts of it.
I don't know what they can do, but they need to make these treasure rooms relevant.
Don't worry, they'll make opening the doors mandatory to progress to the next level... Which means they'll force you to have 1 character of each class otherwise you don't advance.
Bioware always finds a way to force us to play their way...
We stay inside the room in area 5 because it doesn't look like a sound strategy to go in the big open area when there are countless archers doing a **** load of damage? They force us to go outside by locking the door and removing access to the font... (like getting gold is actually worth a damn in this game
)
We don't use a character of each class in our party? They make every single door require the only missing class...
You have a tank with 4 abilities to keep agro? Every single enemy is targeting the Rogue still idling at the loading area...
You defeat 80+ enemies like a real mean machine? You need the key that didn't drop... because it's freaking important to have a key to open a door made of plywood...
You don't get the treasure because it's on a pedestal and you know there's gonna be a guardian possibly wiping your party? They remove the pedestal... At least this one was good for us, we stopped opening doors altogether after that...
You don't like dogs? They introduce levels with 30+ dogs and 2 enemies... Eventually they'll replace the 3 Bosses by dogs, the RTC will not "spin to win" anymore but "bark to win" instead! The reach of that bark will put to shame even archers!
As I said, they'll find a way to force us to open those freaking doors and they'll make damn sure you won't be rewarded for all their non-sense.
