wait... aren't you the guy who bought the DLC after flaming the game?
That would be amusing. Buying dlc for the worst game ever made? That doesn't strike me as a particularly smart move.

With all the bugs this game has you'd think it was made for timone and poomuba(lion king, think I spelled the names wrong)

Good point sleasye74 !
This is the core of my assertions and others that program management is the core problem. Frostbite is new technology that comes at a cost -BF was already seeing the issues and yet management misunderstood and the learning curve! Somewhere I have a diagram of how it works, but imagine every surface as a mirror and understand that the media thickness and material between the outer surface and back mirror play an important part in the rendering process. This is why the process is computationally demanding and the dynamic boundaries needed to achieve it have some interesting implications. Many of the stability bugs are "interactions" with these boundaries and the math fails. This process requires much more attention to the boundary conditions and yes the math will get you every time!
Now look at process as sheets of paper where each sheet does a specific task and compare the bugs -there is a solution!

Just finished the game tonight 200+ hours in.
Altho its not perfect and has a few flaws, i have to say this game is the one i had the most fun and invested the most time in my whole gaming career.
I'm 38 so i would have plenty to choose from.
I have never been into online games (altho now the trend is to incorporate both the single player experience with the online one: think of watch dogs or AC:Unity for exemple) so i am really glad some companies understand that and still put in the efforts to brings us lenghty games like this.
I won't go on forever and hope this thread don't turn into a flame fest.
Thank you Bioware.
Your DAI Icon is missing. Don't you love the game?

I really enjoy the game too, and I personally felt that this was one of BioWare's better entries. However, calling anyone that dislikes the game a "hater" makes you look like Lil Wayne at best, and like Miley Cirus at worst. You're just baiting anyone that disagrees with your PoV by making a title like that. If you want to hang out in the forums without the negativity, there is a few fun and lighthearted threads on the forums, such as the "What did you do today" thread in the Story section.

All I can imagine now is stylistically what would a cross between Miley Cyrus and Lil Wayne look like.

You crack me up sometimes. ![]()
On a serious note (oh the shock horror) a lot of people can't seem to understand the difference between "haters" and "constructive criticism".
Sure.. haters exist. Then you get people like me who have "mixed feelings" on the game. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. It's pretty average for me, and honestly?
Could have been a lot better.
Disclaimer: just my opinion. I don't want a bunch of DA:I lovers jumping on my arse telling me how "wrong" I am.

I finished my first playthrough around the same time and was also almost 200hrs in as well! Their general storytelling, lore, and graphic quality is beautiful for the DA and ME series. Of course, not without flaws and plot holes but still above par to most other RPG's ![]()
Would also suggest changing the title to prevent the trolls. I like to give Bioware appreciation but inviting "haters" probs not the best way XD

After playing BFHardline and the many glitches and bugs it has, I don't think BW is going to figure out the frostbite engine
Frostbite was made for BF and they haven't figured it out yet
If BW wants to keep using frostbite engine they will be experimenting for a while, graphics are only one part of a game and not the most important imo but a lot of people like eye candy over story(don't know why?)
Unfortunately that's how DAI turned out
I don't think Inquisition's problem is Frostbyte. It's the quality of it's filler content. The fact that there is no substance to the world and the side-characters and locations are well... Not characters. They are NPCs. And locations aren't locations - they are quest hubs. Inquisition is all about quantity over quality. That's the main problem. Not the Frostbite.
I would in the still like to thank BioWare, if not for the game itself, then for the excellent post-launch support that shows they do care. Whether they take the feedback on the quality of the non-story content, we will be able to see in the following expansions and/or DLCs.

Frostbite - or rather, it's implementation in this game - is a part of the problem though. Hitboxes (they're apparently all human sized) and how they glitch up melee attacks are a contributor to the general wonkiness of combat. The shaders/lighting are plain weird in many places, giving very shiny armor a really odd surface effect and make dracolisk teeth look like MS paint jobs.
Some NPCs - the ones that never move at all and don't budge if you run into them - may actually not be movable objects or "actors" at all, but people-shaped furniture instead.
That said, I don't disagree that the filler content is the main problem. That and the "tell, don't show" approach that is taken a bit too often for my liking.

Simple fangirl logics, watch my hands:
1. Logical statement: I think that game is perfect beyond measure, all else is blasphemy.
2. Logical statement: I think that Bioware made a great job making this game.
3. Logical conclusion: People who think the other way than me are aliens/trolls/haters, because it doesn't apply to logical statements 1 and 2.
4. Logical conclusion: People who agree on my POV are nice lads and are worthy of support.
It can even work when fangirls have enough experience with QT, or reading fiction books and have developed mentalities. However alienating other forum members is easier than reading fiction classics or participation in game development QT.
