In a well designed game you woudn't need an instant win button.1 rocket per each team member would be more than enough.
And you need them in this game, because:

When the heck did we play Rusty? Was it in a pug game or via someone's invite? Did you change your name?
Rusty has a super-secret alt account that I'm not at liberty to divulge.
But Rusty, you, and I, definitely played a couple games together some time back. Jade Reapers and us all as Cryo Human Soldiers with Avengers sticks in my recollection.
So no one has ever missed firing a rocket at a Crab and missed? They are so huge, how does a rocket go between their legs?
Not only Crabs. The other day on London I was surrounded by Marauders and had a Shee after me. I pulled the Cobra, the Shee jumped to right in front of me, I fired the missile right between her feet. Killed all the Marauders and everything else. The Shee took exactly zero damage, and synced me there and then.
What would be a more optimal use of rockets in game? Playing the game's end game should be extraction and it should be a smooth clean game. What makes a target wave more smooth than swapping to an easier target?
More smooth is not always needed. I'll still switch it if it seems like my team is really struggling, since I never like to play the hero with wave clutching. But most times it seems like there never is a need for rocketing outside of raging & saving teammates.
But generally, games going too smooth is the main reason for not rocketing and this topic.
But part of me feels you're basing this off the most extreme example like Glacier with AC V is going to be an absolute snoozefest if you rocket spawns there. There's a significant difference between eating entire wave budgets with missiles and speeding along objective waves.
I usually don't rocket spawns unless I'm truely 100% bored or one spawns on top of me. Me going rocket crazy is more likely as just pure rage rocketing a swarmer, a lone trooper, followed by a lone Banshee, and another lone Banshee, and so on (PS, rocketing double Banshee is normal to me too since I hate Banshee more then any other enemy. So if all my rockets get wasted on just them, so be it). So nothing with score in mind, unless I'm 100% bored and want things to be over already.
But yeah, spawn nuking is very boring. BioWare should of not left this issue unfixed. Sometimes I bail out of game when I see just one spawn nuke in a game. Why I'm also hating most nades, since they basically achieve the same thing, only you have an unlimited supply of these.
On topic, my missiles have one main use, and one only: rage.
Then sometimes I also use them to help with objectives too, if I still have some
This
Sinful, I like you, you're alright.
But in the interest of fairness I should point out last time a played with you (last week) you did take armoured compartments and nuke the bejesus out of everything on glacier hazard. I suspect that was because you were trying to level up your adepts as fast as possible, rather than for epeen reasons, to be honest.
Wouldn't be the only hypocritical thing about him.

On several occasions. I also once missed two Atlases in the basement in Glacier with two missiles during a target objective.

they did fix it by giving spawns a damage reduction when they first spawn.

The only way to fix it would of been to remove rockets entirely. Would of also eliminated rocket glitching. And it would of also made the game a heck of a lot better in the process too.

What about you being jealous for that AI guy getting more attention then you for doing the same thing you used to do? ![]()
Lolno. Heaps of ways to fix that, yours being probably the most extreme one, which would take one very important thing for many of us out of the game. That is, rage missiles.
So you don't think removal of rockets would of made this game way more interesting? ... Maybe once you reach the hours I have in this game you'll see it my way. ![]()

He died faster on his own, too.

he died cause he thought he could trust his teammates pugs.

Huh??? Have I missed something? What AI guy?
Just finished heating up some food, as was thinking; When the heck did we play Rusty? Was it in a pug game or via someone's invite? Did you change your name?
From the BSN pug thread.Rusty just came into my lobby I used to respec the Retaliation Adept kits. But didn't want the second game to be an Adept too without a lobby reset in fear on the negative bug on the KroDept. But seen he was fired up to kick butt and take no names when he picked the Valkyrie (as if the Desciple shotgun was going to fool me, Rusty
), so I figured the TSent had one biotic power, so I picked him. Course in game I noticed I should of picked the HSent for better synergy, since Valkyrie had Warp too. Live and learn, I guess...
Anyway, he was kicking so much butt, that the Praetorian would totally say "Forget Sinful, we need to neutralize that serious Rusty threat ASAP" on more then one occasion. I was like "Hey, hey! Where you going. Don't you dare too insult me too, Mr. Praetorian." Needless to say, I was devastated.
And we all know what happened to him.... ![]()

I think he talking about this guy. http://forum.bioware...other-sighting/
AC don't give me enough missels when MM pitches me against Geth rokket trouper.

Working as intended.

Stay classy,BSN.
I think the game would've been better off with missiles not giving points or XP.
I don't think they should be completely removed from the game though. Missiles help with objectives or when enemies swarm you or when you want to save a teammate etc.

Jealous? More like in awe. He's my freaking hero, and I've said as much. I wish I had his dedication to abandoning lobbies.

This.
I'd also maybe ensure they don't affect the wave budget.
