Would you want a remastered ME Trilogy?

Hmmmm, I'm on PC so I don't really see the need for this. I would much rather have one new multi-player dlc.

I could see some interest if they replaced ME1's combat/skill system with what was in ME3 but I doubt that would be considered.

I'd only get it if they changed the endings or worked directly with MEHEM to beef it up.  There is no way that I would pay twice for ME3 and its pathetic excuse of an ending.

Since MEHEM is non-canon that's never going to happen.

@OP: I'd love a HD remaster with all the DLC on it and seeing as how the dev's have entertained the idea I'm guessing they're going to announce it at E3 along side the next ME game.

That would likely be the time they announce it. If it's not announced at that time, then I don't think they will do it.

Bioware have said many times that they are done with the endings after EC and MEHEM is non-canon (its fan created content) and will never be acknowledge in the canon. Expecting new endings three years after the game has been released is just asking for disappointment.

I understand that, Droney - I'm just stating my position.  Thanks for your input though.

So do I, there's nothing wrong with being upset about ME3's ending (I was upset with the endings pre-EC), I'm only saying the the time to change ME3's ending has been and gone.

I would definitely want it. Better visuals (yes, it's an issue even on PC with low res casual clothing), all DLCs and these bugs fixed would be enough for me but adding seamless transition between games (which was something Aaryn Flynn listed as one of the options for a remaster) would be even better :)

1st off yes! 2nd off I don't see the PC crowd saying "no because I crrently have a mod I don't want to play without" or "no it still works on new/current PC's" as valid feedback. A remaster would be for those who cannot play on console and those on PC that would like a more graphically updated game without taking mods into consideration. Also MEHEM needs a better name it makes it sound like a kiddie mod made for a cry baby, when it's actually pretty good work of art even though it is too "happily ever after" for me.

I'm not upset anymore, I'm just not going to pay for that tripe twice.

Sent my tweet.   ;)

I'm on PC and if I want to mod, I can play the current version.  I'm not concerned about whether or not I could mod with any sort of remaster of the trilogy.  I'd like to see a remaster with the bugs fixed for both console and PC.

Assuming it comes loaded with all DLC, absolutely. Looking forward to it.

There are a few things that need to be said before people go crazy. For one, Aaryn Flynn's comments about a potential remastered Mass Effect trilogy aren't new. In fact, he said this during N7 Day last year to gather interest among the community.

Secondly, this would be more of an HD update rather than an actual "remastered" experience. Aaryn Flynn already said the gameplay in ME1, for example, would be untouched. For a variety of reasons, partially because some of the diehard RPG fans actually liked the combat in ME1 and rebuilding the combat would be like making a new game, the only thing you could expect to change would be visuals and all of the DLC being included in one conclusive bundle.

That's essentially all this ME trilogy remake is: HD upgrade with all DLC content included. It's nothing more than that. Don't try to turn this into something that won't happen.

My personal thoughts? Save your money and resources for new games, BioWare. ME1 came out eight years ago. ME2 came out five years ago. ME3 came out three years ago. Perhaps ME1 could use a visual update (PC gamers can just use mods to improve it), but there really isn't a need beyond that for this remastered trilogy. No, and Flynn already stated this, BioWare is not going to change the ending of ME3.

I'd be stupid for them not to include all the DLC, they already made that mistake with the 360/PS3 versions of the trilogy collections.

Bugfixes are a must if the Trilogy gets an HD release.

And yes, it needs to be truly HD, because it's not. There's a lot of low-res stuff about.

I would also appreciate it if they toned down the lens flare.  It can get pretty overwhelming in all three games, but especially in ME3.

Tweeting to Aaryn makes no sense, he already knows from here and GAF that there's huge interest in Trilogy for PS4/Xbone. If anything, tweet to EA's official twitter account or EA top heads if they're on Twitter. Obviously Bioware is not the issue here, it's EA thinking every other publisher is silly for releasing remasters and banking new millions on old games

This is a must in my book. The only reason I keep my dusty old 360 is because of my Mass Effect saves.

Yes - I'd buy it in a heartbeat. All I'd like to see would be bug fixes and the DLC included; anything else would be gravy.

(Although - it's probably impossible, but it would be amazing if he MP were included in ME3's port and our MP manifests carried over as well.)

Sure... but only if they added some cut content as well (not entirely new stuff.. just stuff they already had in mind). I think they should take advantage of that opportunity, and not just leave it at graphics updates.

Pretty much this. I just don't feel like a remaster is necessary at this point. Had they not released the ME Trilogy a year or so back, making ME1 available for PS consoles, then sure. I mean, maybe for a Directors Cut version that put in some content never before played, I'd be game then. (Not necessarily ending related btw)

Yep. I just believe it's too soon. The entire Mass Effect trilogy was on the "last generation" of consoles. It's still relatively recent and I don't believe a "remastered edition" at this point would be appropriate. I like the way 343 has handled Halo by doing a remastered edition of the original games during the 10 year anniversary. Lionhead has followed suit with Fable. Maybe in two years BioWare can consider remastering ME1. It's the only game that we would likely see a huge improvement in visuals.
