I would love to have them bring the Shepard Trilogy to the next generation of consoles with all the accessories and a shiny new coat of paint.

Yes.

And all DLC's included would be nice too.

Maybe in 10 years on Playstation 5 and X-Box X.

Only if it includes every single piece of dlc (including preorder stuff like armors). I'm not going to pay for a remastered ME series only to find out that I have less content than in the versions I already have.

Hmmmm, I'm on PC so I don't really see the need for this. I would much rather have one new multi-player dlc.

I could see some interest if they replaced ME1's combat/skill system with what was in ME3 but I doubt that would be considered.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who'd rather see the opposite: getting rid of the ammo mechanic and super weapons from ME2 and 3 and replace it with a proper overheat mechanic like ME1 had, combined with a much broader and more customizable skilltree system like ME1 had.

As for a "remastered trilogy", I don't think it would work out too well. Especially the artstyle of ME1 would get ruined by it. Maybe a patch or DLC that updates all textures with high-res textures could work. There are a couple of mods out there in the wild to replace armor textures with high-res textures already, so that's managable at least, though it would take a lot of artists a lot of work to make them.

I would love this so much! High quality graphics and the ability to take screenshot of everything? It's a dream!

Add bug fixes and obviously all DLC included, and I'd be delighted.

A remaster/ remake for the win   Though I would change/add a few things:

1: the mako could be made better it is interesting to use it but I absolutely hated the controls, if they made it able to fly longer, faster and higher I would love it.

2: the scanning the second game was better than the mako in my honest opinion but it took far to long to scan everything for minerals, so why not make either the scanner search area bigger or lower the required amount of minerals needed for uppgrades.

3: all the DLC should be included.

4: same or better texture quality than in ME3. (would love if it had the same quality as either DA inquisition or ME4)

5: more love scenes and party banther.

Since MEHEM is non-canon that's never going to happen.

@OP: I'd love a HD remaster with all the DLC on it and seeing as how the dev's have entertained the idea I'm guessing they're going to announce it at E3 along side the next ME game.

I know.  But if they did, I'd buy it the day it was offered.

Trilogy remaster?

166yaop.jpg

At minimum it would need to include all DLC however, as the series would feel incomplete without it. Also ideally it would include some cut content that should have made the game, like this scene with Ashley Williams.

Without a doubt, YES!

If it was regarding other previous gen games, I wouldn't care nearly as much, but I've always felt that the Mass Effect trilogy is so good that it deserves to be remastered.

That's no exaggeration on my part - they are more than worthy of your undivided attention if the intention is to go back and polish them up before re-releasing them for PS4/XB1/PC.

I'm confident that any investment made by EA will quickly be paid back, and then some, and then some more.  The franchise's popularity has obviously remained high - take my money and green light the bastard already.

I'd rather not, seems pretty pointless.

Some sort of remake in a few years would be cool though.

Since the PS3 version of the ME trilogy is missing a buttload of DLC, I'd love an actually complete version of ME remastered for the PS4.

That's my biggest reason for requesting a remaster of the series, other than bugs.  I know that some ports are missing out on some DLC, and I think it would be fair to make sure those players can get all of the content.  If someone is willing to pay for the trilogy twice, they should have access to all the DLC options.

ME1's Pinnacle Station has never been available on PS3. Apparently, they had somehow lost track of the source code when they were doing the port, so they couldn't include it.

The trilogy on PS3 includes:
ME1 - Bring down the sky
ME2 - LotSB, Firewalker, Overlord - basically everything minus appearance and weapons packs and Arrival.
ME3 - Nada.

I've been buying the missing DLCs through the Playstation Store. They are available if you're interested.

ETA: Neglected to mention that Kasumi & Zaeed are also included.

I knew about ME3 not having DLC on the PS3, but I didn't know you guys were missing out on Arrival as well.  As much as I enjoyed Overlord, Arrival explains why Shep is grounded at the beginning of ME3.  That is one of the few DLCs that actually has an impact on the main story in ME3.

Damn, that sucks.  I didn't need another reason to request a remaster, but I'll add that one to the list.

They should have let you bring your squad in Arrival. Doesn't feel like ME with just Shepard running around.

That was one of the rare times it worked for me.  It seemed fitting.  This sort of quiet covert stuff felt, I don't know, very Spectre-like.  A solo mission to prevent war and to try to save a friend of Hackett's.  However, I consider Arrival important for story reasons.

The first time I started ME3, I was very confused.  I had only grabbed Kasumi and Zaeed and no other DLC.  Going into it, I thought at first I was grounded for working with Cerberus.  Which would have made sense, but then they started talking about 300,000 dead bartarians and that Shep was involved.

My reaction:

I thought that dialogue changed without Arrival? Anderson just says "The **** you've done!"

Either way, the intro definitely works better with Arrival.

No, the dialogue didn't change for him.  Just like with Legacy in DA2, the events of Arrival happen whether the player actually did it nor not.  Same with BDtS (which I didn't play my first time through ME1,) they just give the default aka worst outcome.  Anderson just starts talking about an exploding relay, 300,000 dead batarians and that Shep was directly involved somehow.  The dying bartarian in the refugee camp mentioned that he was mad directly at Shepard for it, and Shep mentions that there was nothing she could have done.  No mention of warning the colony, but blurts this out.

I don't know if it was a bug or not, but I was left extremely puzzled as to why I was grounded for killing 300,000 batarians.  I was thinking, "Um, I would have remembered that."  I thought that, as a Paragon Shepard, I quietly turned myself in for working with a known terrorist group.  Then that came up.

The dialogue does change in that scene, but I can't remember exactly what Anderson says without Arrival.

<shrug>  It could have been a bug.  I am of the belief that making a DLC that plays a big role in the main story of the next game that much isn't such a hot idea.  I came to this conclusion after DA:I when it was established that Hawke/Varric went after Cory no matter what.  It certainly left some players pretty confused according to the forums.  I saw posts going, "Wait, when did Hawke and Varric do this?!?"  The response was, "Do the Legacy DLC."  Playing the ME series only reinforced my opinion.

I apologize for getting so wildly off-topic.  Regardless, it's rather crappy that folks on the PS3 can't get ahold of that DLC.   :(

I think you got a bug, then. Here's what Anderson's supposed to say without Arrival:
