At this point, how likely do you think a ME Trilogy remastered will be announced this year at E3 and released later this year? Do you think it is almost a foregone conclusion that a remastered trilogy is coming? Or do you think this is all just hopeful optimism?

Talking with a few game devs and with BioWare's sudden silence on the matter...It seems to be VERY possible. I was told it was at the point of "if there is enough interest then yes".

With ME4 still far in the future, this ME remastered is a good focus for players to keep hype up in the meantime or gain new players.

EDIT: Though they made it sound like if it was to happen...the multiplayer would probably not be included with issues of servers on old and next-gen compatibility.

And given MEMP's longevity they may not want to create a remastered multiplayer that completes with ME:N multiplayer to follow only 6-9 months later  ;) .

That is my biggest question because it would logically make sense to release this trilogy BEFORE Mass Effect 4. This leaves us a few possibilities. Personally, while people may want to hold onto the idea that ME4 will release Spring 2016 (best case scenario), I believe that ME4 will release Fall 2016 (most likely case senario) with the possibility of it slipping into Jan/Feb 2017 (worst case scenario). So assuming a Fall 2016 release, I could imagine that a holiday 2015 would be the time that this trilogy could launch.

My only concern is that could that happen? I mean with all the dev talk, it seems like they aren't even in development of this remastered trilogy and if they are, then they are in the most earlier stages of it because most of the recent talk from the devs were just "testing the waters" talk by asking the fans what would they like to see in a remastered trilogy or what not and this was just middle of last year. I do not believe that they can go from asking players do they want a remastered trilogy/what they want to see in it all the way to a full out release this fall in such a short amount of time. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if this trilogy wasn't released until summer 2016 after E3, just a few months before ME4's release.

Who's to say they haven't already started it and will have a video by E3? ;)

Well, some people are asking for the remastered ME trilogy while some of us who actually had ME back in 2007 when it was "only on Xbox" still don't have squat.

I'd much rather get the bleeding "M" under my avatar.

 no wait it was supposed to be

October 2016-March 2017 is the window on ME4, I think, MJ. With you there.

Hoping for October, obviously.

Not saying that they haven't started it, but rather how early/far are they into the development? I want to believe that the trilogy releases this year but that seems unlikely as it was just nearly 6 months ago when Mr. Aaryon Flynn was polling people about what they would want to see in a remastered trilogy. Again, 6 months ago, which means when this "poll" was done, they were probably just in the VERY early stages of development and who know when the actually development began. Was it last November, this January? Or has it even started? This is all assuming of course that Bioware is doing a trilogy remastered edition for current gen consoles.

The range could either be a Fall 2015 release or a late summer 2016 release.

If they do remaster the trilogy. It better also be remastered for PC or I won't buy it (because I decided to get a gaming PC over Xbone/PS4).

There are already mods that make the games look much better.

That's what I'm thinking too. :) I trust BioWare will get it done sooner than later. DA came out and brought hype to their company but ME4 is still a ways off and another DA is even farther. I think they know it would be good for them to keep up hype with a project like this. Remastered series don't seem to be that large of  a project. Case Borderlands, that included all games and DLC and its last one was released in 2011 and they came out with its remastered recently.

Then again I am not a game dev myself. This is only speculation.

Nope.  I'll stick with the pc version so I can keep the MEHEM for it.

Now if they worked with the modder who did the MEHEM so that this could be purchased, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

MEHEM kinda sucks, it ruins the immersion because it feels so fake.

But seriously, it's a mod. It may ruin immersion for you but not for someone else. It's entirely subjective. And it's very well-crafted, especially considering that Mass Effect is much less friendly to modding than, say, Skyrim.

Jumping in on the original question, Yes, yes I would! I had my PS3 sold before I realised the PS4 wasn't backwards compatible and I need these games! not want... NEED! I have them all on PC but don't get to game much on my PC at all, I would buy them again in a second!

I'm interested only if there is inclusion of all DLC packs, including Pinnacle Station.

I wouldn't expect more than a graphical upgrade, that would be enough. A release this year doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility as long as someone's already working on it. They will want to build hype for ME before ME:N. Though as for new releases in general, we don't really know what stage the new IP game is at. That might release next year as well, maybe even late this year.

I completely agree with almost everything you've said here. I think it would make perfect sense to release a Mass Effect remastered trilogy for the current gen before ME4. It would definitely please the fans, bring in more fans (and money), and be a great way to pass time and satiate our excitement leading up to the new game.

I'm about 80% positive it is going to happen, with some announcement in the upcoming E3 (hopefully). What you said about it being in development though, I also agree, they haven't said much about it besides some "if" questions, so "if" they are working it they will probably be working on it full time by now.

Not sure about a holiday 2015 release. Would be nice, but I wouldn't bet my money on it.

If they don't release a remastered trilogy (before or after ME4) then it would be a big missed opportunity, especially on their part.

I know the feels man. That was my boat, silly me. My PS3 was dying a slow death, but I may have kept it a little longer for my ME urges.....

Hey so I was looking online at JB Hifi (Australia) and came upon this;

https://www.jbhifi.c...-effect/578363/

Says it has a release date of Dec 31 this year which is obviously just a placeholder but I am wondering whether this would be the speculated Mass Effect trilogy remaster (or Mass Effect: Next but I think the former seems more likely). I know it doesn't mean much but if it IS Mass Effect trilogy remaster then this could confirm it for PC too!

I feel you... kinda. I'm doing my third playthrough of the trilogy and I'm debating whether or not I should buy all the DLC I haven't yet. I bet I'll put off buying it until the day before they announce the remaster with all the dlc included. That would be my kind of luck.

ME:N has been available to preorder on Amazon for maybe a year now, so it probably means very little, to be honest...

I would be shocked if it didn't, it's still pretty popular.
