I guess this is mostly bad news, but my ME2 disc from my used ME trilogy box set is so scratched it barely works anymore...

Still, on the plus side, at least I've got a reason to buy this remastered ME trilogy, now!

Also, I really hope ME4 gets a late '15 release date. If any later, Bioware definitely won't be able to fit a trilogy into the 8th gen's life span.

A remastered ME trilogy would have to include ever single piece of DLC to get me to buy it, but mostly a better working ME3MP on next gen that doesn't transfer any previous progress for anybody would have me interested if they up the ultra rare drop rate.

If they a remastered ME trilogy for Xbox One and PS4, I hope they have a collectors edition.  Yes I am a collector's wh*re, but for ME, I will gladly spend money to play a game, I've beaten dozens of times.  I am still finding new things in that game.

I just hope it comes with all DLC, including ME1 DLC.

Do you mean 2016? For I can't see them even thinking about releasing it the same time period as Battlefront since they are already giving off information on Battlefront and announced it will be released this Winter.

Here's hoping that a ME Trilogy remaster will be confirmed at E3!

If this trilogy isnt announced next week, do you still have hope for one? I would personally just give up and except the idea that Bioware tested the idea and even gather external data (such as the NeoGaf post) but in the end....decided against it.

I am currently holding out a ME trilogy marathon playthrough for a remastered trilogy but if that doesn't happen, then a PS3 playthrough will have to do.

If they decide not to remaster the trilogy, I wish that somehow, some way they'd release a Frostbite toolset so an ambitious group of fans could re-create it themselves (along with DA:O!)...

The franchise really needs one, the years are passing and the games are getting even more buggy, especially ME2, at least for consoles... not mentioning ME1, the game is outdated as hell.

Fingers crossed.

To me the only way a ME Remastered makes sense is if it releases 3-6 months before ME: Next.

Whatever form ME: Next takes, going back to the trilogy after that, makes no sense from a marketing or any other perspective.

And releasing ME Remastered looks like a huge cash cow to me for EA.

I think we know some ME related will be launched at E3.

So if ME Remastered is not referenced at E3, it isn't happening, though if ME Remastered is launched

that would put ME: Next's launch window slightly later (by 3-6 months) than if ME Remastered were not released first.

This makes no sense at all. They are trying to distance themselves from the events of the trilogy and do a soft reboot of the franchise. Releasing a remastered collection with 100h of content a few months before ME:N is the stupidest thing they could do.

I'd say yes to a trilogy remastering, but it would have to be this set of consoles/gen of pcs to keep with the times. If you wait too long you come into conflict with older system issues. I can site the specific example of the Silent Hill series, they came up against technical difficulties and possibly legal ones when attempting to bring Silent Hill (the original) through the grinder to add it to the Remastered Silent Hill collection.

It would however as many people have pointed out be slightly contradictory in terms of trying to get away from Shepard. Its like putting a refresher in everyone's brain that he's never coming back.

I really, really want a remastered HD ME Trilogy for PS4, it is my favourite game series of all time. If they did an HD remaster and bundled the DLC, I would buy it in a heartbeat!!! Please do this! :D

Playing the first ME on XBOX One, the games does run a bit better, that's obvious.

Edit : Yeah, 1080p for this game, at least the X360 port, doesn't do any good, it just shows the flaws even more.

Remaster ASAP.

Since the new game is out late 2016 it can be announced out of the blue. There is also GamesCom and N7 Day. It can be released early 2016 and give enough time for people to play through it.

Yeah, it could still happen. I guess the good thing about it taking so long is that it might indicate that they are making significant changes and improvements to the remastered versions of the games rather than just porting over the PC version at 1080p/60fps.
