I'm not usually one to cross-post, but I know many of you lot don't often browse the other forum subsections, so I wanted to drop this here as well.

Apparently, BioWare may be reviewing whether it's worth remastering the ME Trilogy. I imagine that would mean a nicer, shinier, revitalized PC version in addition to XBox One and PS4 versions.

 

Lord knows I'd be all for it, ESPECIALLY if that meant I could just pop over from DAMP and ME3MP with my PS4-upgraded buddies.

I think what we all really want is a bunch of new maps for ME3MP, maybe even a higher difficulty than platinum (with more enemies on the map, now that they would be able to render more).

 

But yeah, I'd buy that, especially if it's cross-platform.

I'd never play through the single player again, so I'd only be getting it for MP. And since I'd have to start over with a new manifest (which I've already done several times) it would be quite a grind.

 

And, of course, there would be a smaller pool of players, even among those buying the game for the first time.

 

So... I wouldn't buy ME 3 again. Maybe if it was ridiculously cheap, but even then, probably not.

They should seamlessly combine all 3 games including all DLCs into 1 big game with high res Mass Effect 3 assets and gameplay improvements and package the Mass Effect 3 MP with additional maps based on Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 environments and release it on PC, PS4 and Xbox One as the Mass Effect Trilogy: Ultimate Director's Cut. Also add in a couple dozen new MP kits and weapons for good measure as well.

If they had ME3 MP on PS4 and cross linked it to my PSN account (so I don't to get all my weapons/kits..etc again) I would be very interested in that. There aren't that many games out for the next gen consoles and playing a smoother version of ME3 MP is quite appealing to me. No more fear or dread of a crash if you get hazard collector maps.

That would probably depend on the price and how much different is the PC version going to be from what we have now. If it's just a visual enhancement then I'll probably pass unless it's really really cheap. If it brings something else on the table, I'd range from considering it to "shut up and take my money!", depending on what's there.

It would be a very good feature to have the option of crossing manifests over to the new version for enlarging the playerbase. However, I'd be willing to bet money on that not happening, since fresh manifests mean more micro-transactions.

 

I personally wouldn't transfer mine either way though, cause I'm the kind weirdo who is working on a 2nd manifest on the current version

 

IMO, it'd be better for getting more people on-board if they allowed manifests to transfer, but if the potential micro-transaction revenue was needed to get the project green-lit, then I'd rather have everyone have fresh manifests on the remaster, than no remaster at all.

 

Also, yeah being able to actually play all the faction/map combos on playstation would be lovely. It'd feel like we were getting a map/faction expansion pack, even if there was no 'new' content

A PS4 version with better frame rates and being able to play vs Collectors without wincing everytime eye lasers were on my screen would be awesome.

 

IDC if I have to start a new manifest, I would build quickly

I am on PC so it wouldn't affect me, but if I was playing on the consoles I would probably be willing to buy a remastered ME3 for those systems. However, if they wanted to charge full price they should probably bundle it with all the DLC as a GOTY edition or something of the sort.

 

Especially considering they couldn't even include the DLC for ME2 into the trilogy bundle....

Yes, they could add some things with minimal effort I would think as well. Was there a reason other than financial/time restraints why the unfinished maps weren't finished? Add in a few new characters, maps, single player DLC or two, maybe some new weapons, and I'm in.

I haven't seen anything worth the price tag of the new consoles, so I don't see a "remake" causing me to buy the next gen system.  Even if I did buy xbone, I'd keep the 360 because the new system isn't backwards compatible... which is bullshit btw.

 

 

 

By the time ME4 arrives, I'll probably have moved on to other things and will disregard the ME universe anyways.  Same thing over and over is tiresome.  I mean, come on!  How often is aerial bombardment not possible?!!!  No time my ass...

The Xbox One should be able to shoot flames out the side when flamer is used, produce an arctic breeze when snap cheese is used, and produce house shaking earthquakes when the Venom is used.
