I take Tali with me on every mission not only because she's bae but also because her tech abilities come in handy always. Who's your favourite squad member and why? Who's your least favourite?
I need to know because science (actually I'm mostly just curious, tbh).
I always took Kaidan with me the first time around. Love his character to bits! Garrus was my second squadmate.
My 2nd time on Hardcore I took Tali and Wrex with me (played an Engineer). That was for the stupid trophies to unlock, but it was a cool team, I liked it.
Never liked Ash.

edit: I actually don't really have a squad member who I outright dislike. They're like outfits of the day. But in terms of overall screen time, little Tali hasn't really gotten any attention compared to the others

Sort of depends, but my most used squad is probably Garrus and Liara.
Tali does get to go on a lot of missions. My least used squadmate overall is probably Kaidan, even though he is one of the better ones.

Tali goes on most of my missions with Ashley and Liara spliting time depending on mission and my shep's own abilites while Garus, Wrex, and Kiaden come along only for a change of pace, needed double abilites like overload, or if I want to see what they say during a particuler mission. I just like having pure enginers soldiers and biotics suporting me. I just now relised that the women were the specialist and the men were hybrids.
As for least I would go with Kiaden. He just wasn't anything imprsive ability wise nor was he that intresting to me personaly.

I just like Tali and Garrus the most I guess. Tali's abilities are good. And Garrus is just awesome. Wrex and Liara are good too. Ash and Kaidan are meh for me in ME1. I like Kaidan better in ME3.
I divvy up missions as equally as is practically possible. The idea is that my Shepard wants to give everyone a chance, not just who he happens to like more.
Until she gets blown up on Virmire, Ash is my Shepard's LI so she goes on a higher proportion of missions than almost anyone else, although I always have one of Garrus, Tali and Kaidan since I play a Vanguard and need someone to open crates. Certain characters always go on certain missions:
Chora's Den (fighting to Fist's office): Wrex/Kaidan
Therum: Wrex/Tali
Noveria: Liara/Garrus
Feros: Ashley/Kaidan
X57: Ashley/Garrus
Ilos and beyond: Garrus/Tali

Always Garrus. I usually switch the second companion out with another alien and the humans stay onboard the ship.

I just used to enjoy seeing mercs/Collectors get taken down two petite women and a man in hot-pink armor.

Liara is my bae! for the most part I just about always have Garrus and Liara in the missions with me, once in a while I'll take a different squad mate if I think that mission actually suits them quite well.
I never used to use Kaidan in ME1 playthroughs, but I tried him out with my Vanguard Shepard and was pleasantly surprised. He's just a useful jack-of-all-trades type - he can do both decryption and electronics so you don't need to bring anyone else for locked doors / crates, he's got First Aid to increase medi-gel effectiveness, and he has useful biotics like Throw / Lift (it was great when he Lifted Saren in the final battle while Shepard shotgunned away).
After I upgraded him I pretty much brought him on all missions, along with Wrex - made a nice biotic wrecking team.
