How do you take your helmet off when you are out on a mission? I remember you use to go into the squad screen in the pause menu to toggle it on and off when you could, how do you do it in ME2?
and another thing you need a search option in your form I hate looking thought all the dam posts trying to see if anyone else has ask the same question.
Thx

I've been wondering the same thing. There doesn't seem to be an easy helmet toggle option, and as far as I can see there is NO option to remove the helmet of special armors (Dragon, Terminus, etc) making you look like a bit of a tool if you choose to wear those.
I don't think ME2 has any way to change or equip armor/outfits while in the field.

You can change your helmet in the captain's quarters on the Normandy. You can even change the colors and textures of the armor and the outfit you wear around the ship. While on a mission though, you can not toggle the helmet on or off. This must be done in the captain's quarters.

Thats pretty lame. Wearing the Collectors or Dragon armor force you to wear an unremoveable helmet. Too bad the helmet doesnt automatically remove itself for conversation scenes as it did in DA:O. I am finding myself choosing armor that doesnt require a helmet and just not wearing one at all. I like to see my character's face during convos.

Exactly. I want "helmetless DLC armor". Collector or Blood Dragon armor would look awesome helmetless. But I hate being "faceless" during dialogue scenes. (similarly I also want to be able to wear N7 helmets on tough missions for the stat boost, yet have them gone during dialogue)

I take off my helmet when I board the Citadel. So far every other planet I've kept it on. Would be nice to be able to swap on the fly though, or have it done automatically when it makes sense to do so.

I am in the same position but have found some solace in the visor since I enjoy the headshoot damage boost and imagine my character tactically analyzing how to properly kill someone whenever I get into a standoff.

I use the N7 with the eye visor, N7 is heavy modified, haven't used the 3 bonus armors because of the helmet issue.

It makes me wonder why they took a step back and wont allow us to take off the helmets for these DLC armor. It makes them almost useless. Such a shame since they look very nice. Especially the Blood Dragon Armor.

agreed. I got the terminus armor - it is pretty sweet but I haven't worn it because you are faceless in dialogue and cut scenes. I'll probably try and use it in an obvious combat drop at some point.

I would love for there to be an option to take the helmet off when not in combat (like Dragon Age).

Agreed. I'm glad I have the Dragon Armor and Inferno Armor, but really don't like not being able to see my face during the conversations. Perhaps they can fix this in a patch?

You aren't alone in wanting a helmet removal option. There is currently a 9 page long thread with people asking BioWare to fix this huge oversight. Try to keep the conversation civil. BioWare has been deleting and locking threads about this same topic that end with people harassing each other and BioWare

Count me in on this one. Im not using any of my cool special armors because of the damn helmet issue. At the very least the helmet should be off during any dialog. It just looks so stupid to have a helmet on in a non combat area like the Citadel or during dialog.
Fix it Bioware PLEASE!

The helmet is an issue. A greater issue is being able to add armour for your party.
