Not for... with :)

Nobody works with Cory. He allows them to serve him for as long as they're useful.

And Meredith would go full berserker before she would even consider it.

Because red templers don't turn to ghouls. They turn into crystals.

this would imply

A. BioWare plans ahead for stories and characters

B. They aren't making the lore up as they go

*Point at the Mytharl shine Merrill used to revive Flemith with.

*Points to Anders powers temporally reviving his friend's mind.

*Points to DA: witch hunts hints to the breach and Cory.

*Points to Varric's brother gaining blight insanity.

DA - unlike ME - has a very clear plot core that Bioware is slowly unveiling regarding the world of thedas. The realities of VG development mean changes and rectcons etc. but they've been very good about a coherent thematic plot. It's really a credit to them IMO.

I'm not saying everything the planned for happened but you can't call it a retcon if was never shown in the plot.(But other things in the plot are clearly retcons.*Loooks at Liliana.)

But it's clear they did plan ahead. The only question is if it's going to be shown or not.
