I looked on the wiki but it didn't say: how many charm points do you need to successfully conclude that quest?

I obviously looked in the wrong place. I looked under the quest description. Didn't even know there was a morality guide.

There are those for ME2 and ME3 as well ;) Quite useful articles.

Does Shepard always shove a gun in Conrad's face regardless of the wording of the Renegade option?

I've had two different wordings "here's a test. I'm a bad guy. Try to stop me." and I forget the other one, but in both cases Shepard shoves the gun in his face.

To get the "here's a test" variant, I believe you need to go paragon-paragon, then choose the intimidate.

Oh, I see. I thought there may've been a way to intimidate him without a gun :) Oh, well, I'll charm his as usual :D
