I've read the following:

Incendiary ammo adds its percentage of weapon damage as DOT split in 6 equal ticks over 3 seconds...

- Incendiary ammo cancels (absorbs) some of other DOTs in effect on target (incendiary ammo , warp , flamer and inferno grenade) and instead buff its own 6 DOT ticks (damage inflicted will be (much) higher than if the dots were to apply normally - this being the buggy part)

- The above (incendiary dot canceling & damage pumping can apply multiple times) - as long as the next bullet/pellet hits before the incendiary DOT runs out (3 second window) (or any other DOT effect)

but I am not smart enough...
or let's say I am not sure HOW exactly shout I be shooting with (for example) the CSMG + incendiary 4, in order to make the most damage.

in addition, I heard that the used Ammo type has an impact on certain powers like the flamer. is that true?

thank you

Use a kit with warp. Thats how you get the most DOT damage

... Saeed, that you?

Anyway.

Incendiaries are glitched by themselves, but it's a lot bigger if you pair it with warp/flamer/etc.

If you do, you have to cast the power first and then fire.

Remember to stop shooting when there are several bars of health/armor left, as the dot will clear them out easily.

That's pretty much all, although I won't pretend to be an expert on this.

The incinerate power  and inferno grenades also stack with incendiary ammo.

I couldnt give you exact numbers, but they all do pretty large amounts of damage.  Combined with something like a Reegar...it's almost an ungodly amount of destruction.

Inferno Grenades are the most obscene, from what I've seen.  The stacking compresses the entire (8-second?) DOT from the grenade into 3 seconds.  I have used the BatSol with the Claymore and Incendiary ammo, and you can take out a Gold Brute in 3 seconds by hitting it with a grenade and then immediately shooting it once with the Claymore.  One grenade plus a Claymore shot might even be enough to take out a Banshee if its barriers are down.

Effiency with each power is dependent on defense type.

If you're looking to exploit the warp (incinerate, inferno grenades, blah blah blah) + incendiary ammo glitch, nothing screams cheese more than the reegar.

im not sure about it applying all the damage in that time.

but, you can also keep 1 inferno nade going the entire duration of a banshee's life if you keep shooting it within every 3 secs, so you only need 1 nade per boss if you can keep your focus on them.

pretty sure tho if someone uses a power on a banshee during her "power denial phase" that it cancels out inferno nade just like how pugs cancel out a flamer dot by throwing a power at her during that phase. (unless its reave, dark channel, or other "non projectile powers" that i cant think of atm. )

thanks.

I was asking because I wasn't sure if I have to stop shooting at some point, in order to do even more damage (which sounds strange enough) and then start shooting again before 3 seconds passed.
that true?

in addition, I heard that the used Ammo type has an impact on certain powers like the flamer. does it make a difference, if I flame with Disruptor or incendiary, e.g.?

how you're going to exploit the incendiary ammo bug when you aren't even using it ? (disruptor ammo) .. No ability is that buggy :) .

The damage is there - you don't need to fire in bursts - (ever increasing) bugged damage ticks will keep applying every 0.5 seconds..
Making optimal use of the cheese involves "walking away"/switching targets when current target is on low HP and letting the 3 second DOT finish job..

Yep, low on HP like when a platinum atlas only has 27000 armor left. ;)
