Hey there, long time no see, but maybe someone here will remember me from several years ago? :)

I've reinstalled NWN on my laptop to see whether I might get back into it, but I'm having a bit of trouble to adapt to the changes that happened in the meantime, mainly the vanishing of the old IGN Vault. I know about the community effort to replace it and I commend it, but it seems that the new Vault does not contain everything that was stored on the old one (yet?).

At the moment, for example, I'm looking for Goudea's NWNLauncher and I just can't find it anymore. Does anyone know if it's still online anywhere? Thanks!

Try asking in the NwN Files Wanted section in the forums on the new vault. It is most probably on there, just not yet moved out of storage. Welcome back BTW.

Thanks, you two! :wizard:

But don't get excited too soon, I already feel quite overwhelmed again with the confusing module pages, all these CEP 2.0, 2.1, 2.4, 2.6 requirements, and the old programs not working on my Win 8.1 laptop for some reason or other ...  :pinched:

By the way, how many different versions of CEP does one need to be able to play all the (or most) modules? I remember that CEP 1.x and CEP 2.x are fundamentally different, so that both need to be installed, as some modules require one and some the other. But what about CEP 2.x? Does it suffice to have CEP 2.6 installed in order to play a module requiring e.g. CEP 2.4, or do I need several versions of CEP 2.x, too?

Just CEP 2.6 should suffice, it's the 1.x that you may need a number of files for but that is mostly for older modules. BTW is the new avatar an anthro-koala?

Ha! It does have a striking resemblance with a koala, that's probably part of why I like it, apart from being drawn by DiTerlizzi in a Planescape context and looking both impish and friendly, pensive and relaxed. I think officially it's supposed to be a Linqua though.

For all CEP needs, you'll want 2.60 and this one:

You don't need multiple versions of 1 or 2.

Great, thanks! Incidentally I've only just begun to play Enigma Island yesterday and I'm really enjoying it; that's some engaging story-telling there, quite impressive, so thanks a lot for sharing your work, too! :)
