I congratulate BioWare for being on the right side of this issue.
Wow, people are awful.
As do I.
Games have a great potential to explore many different issues and I hope that the inclusion of these characters in a mainstream game will encourage a developer to use the medium to explore challenges that people face in their lives.
Just like all other mediums there is room for both the fun games and the games that explore aspects of society.
Papo Yo is an amazing example of how a game can creatively explore a difficult issue like having an abusive parent.
Unfortunate that SJW pandering is what gets a game mainstream attention, not storytelling, game quality, gameplay, etc. etc.
Just like every media group obsesses over GTA V's "social commentary" but never mentions anything else.
How is the inclusion of one proper representation of a trans character pandering?
Was Serendipity in DA2 pandering or was it ok, because Serendipity was poorly done? Was the inclusion of Maevaris in the comics pandering?
That is it btw, Serendipity, Maevaris and Krem, the 3 named transgendered characters in the DA Universe.
It's not like they took an existing character, that we knew wasn't trans and then made them trans, BioWare created a whole new character, who they decided to make trans.
That is not pandering.
