Do you think Bioware is "dragging along" Flemeth too much?

But power from what?  Flemeth isn't a god herself.  Maybe a powerful mage but not a "god."  Oh well, I guess we'll find out since Morrigan will become Flemeth 2.0.

A god in the dragon age sense is like Hakkon in the dlc. Something living with alot of magical power mixed with a powerful fade spirit or powerful connection to the fade.

DA has not true all power god of any form.

Well, not Flemeth herself, but I'd say it's all but confirmed that Andraste was inhabited by Mythal at the time, what with Solas = Shartan being so obvious.

Yes. They are both bald. There are no other bald elves in the series.

I think Dai Grepher was being sarcastic...

I guess we don't know enough about Flemeth, other than she is a powerful mage who was housing an Elven spirit that may have added to her power.  Without Mythal, though, we don't know how powerful Flemeth really was, but she must still have been more powerful than any Circle mage.  Maybe transferring her essence or power is something that she learned from Mythal?  IDK

I think the original picture is from the games somewhere:

but I know it'll at least be in the new World of Thedas book coming out.

And there's the pointy-hat-crown-thing again.

I believe they are Chantry/Chateau windows (as far as the stained glass pieces go.) I'm not sure where they are in the game proper, but they are present in at least one of the variants on the Orlesian Chateau DAMP map.

Personally, I don't exactly care for the way Flemeth/Mythal/Fen'Harel were handled...but that's more because I felt like some of those things were sort of glaringly obvious and it got turned into this big drawn-out affair of a reveal and I sort of got to feeling that maybe more time could have been spent on paying some more attention to other plot elements. But, as always, YMMV, and perhaps others were in need of the lengthy explanations and 'lack of development' elsewhere in the storyline (or even in regards to the other members of the Pantheon).

A thought, what if Flemeth in some form is reborn as a companion character in a future game?

If anything Flemeth as a human may of been a dreamer. That's the only mage combo with a Spirit that been shown to cross the fade.

DAO -- Flemeth

DA2 -- Flemeth with Mythal hint

DAI -- Transition from Flemeth to Mythal

DA4? -- Mythal (IMO, she's still out there in some way, she's freakin all about shards of herself and nothing was conclusive about her being done before the extra credits scene; an extra credits scene isn't going to just finish off a major character in every way, sorry - she'll be back) and moving into her endgame?

Honestly that's not 'dragging along'. The Flemeth story itself may be largely finished, if not totally finished. We're onto Mythal now, if anything. So I don't think we have to care about an old lady in her hut in Ferelden anymore.

I'm okay with more Mythal. We've only touched on the truths of the Elves. Bioware can certainly give us more, along with more truths of Mythal (was she Andraste in some way? was the something before being an Elven Goddess? etc).

Threads to go from game to game are a GOOD THING. This Morrigan+Flemeth matter is a GOOD ONE. I enjoy it.

If anything was a more useless time of Flemeth, it was DA2. While I still liked some of the stuff of her there, it was much more of a cameo vs being important to plot.

We always have to remember that some people will play the game like:

1)Ignoring Solas, not caring about him, even hostile to him

2)Ignoring Morrigan beyond forced scenes

3)Not liking Elves, ignoring all that content

4)Just wanting to kill evil monsters and the bigger concepts and even pretty clear hints fly by them

So while those people get "OMG WTF" at even Flemeth being Mythal, the 'experienced' DA players probably brought an interesting World Save over and get to experience extra emotion with stuff like Kieran and a nicer Morrigan, theorizing about what the Solas+Flemeth scene actually means (instead of just being shocked), etc. There's layers to Bioware's writing, as linear as their plots and main character RP almost always are.

Can't be Morrigan.  I'm sure if they brought Flemeth back back people would romance her and Bioware have said that returning companion characters would not be romanceable which would make people upset..... and you know how upset people can get around here.

It's Morrigan. The story and plot can't hint it enough. Flemeth even left her god hood to her. Flemeth passed the torch to Morrigan.

What does a goblet mean? Why does Vivienne have the serpent that was used more in cards like Dorian's (does it represent Tevinter? Something else?)?

SO off topic but yeah.

Well if does if you believe in the Maker, but even that one is more Old Testamenty (aka 'Okay you're all powerful but why are you written like you're an angry man?').

That the most ironic thing ever because if spirit do act the way I think they do( that being the embodiment of the people of thedus' ideals) then they maybe a maker...kind of.. A spirit that's the embodiment of the maker.

Yeah I agree. Especially now that she might be dead, if it's true, I feel they wasted her potential. She could've been so much more.

I don't think Flemeth is dead. yet. But down the road I see Solas giving some interesting orders to Morrigan that she can't help but obey.

Thedas needs to spread the Chant for the Maker to return.

Thedas will never spread the Chant enough lol.

Maker will never return.

But will that matter, as long as everyone is Chanting and 'purifying' themselves more and more, better and better, affecting even the Fade through their worship? Hmm.
