Flemeth being religous $hit was worst plot twist ever!

Out of all theories of what she could have been! That fine mystery about her and her daughters in DAO that gave true really dark air to it that seriously made you crawl under your bed at fact of what may she and her daughters are perhaps....are all gone with the most disappointing thing that she is just someone who carries soul of some "Goddess" who wants revenge for someone stealing her pie most likely :P. True the revenge thing may still be dark but still that mystery scary air that Flemeth had about her that made her horror...nah gone...whatever she plans to do ain't scary anymore because whole theories about Flemeth who possesses her daughters, eats their hearts, seduces and kills men and most likely she is something you don't even want to know of because you will lose sleep....stopped existing for me the moment I learnt she only carries Mythal's sole and that she is playing justicar on some God's behalf.Booooooriiiiing!

But back to game...as I said I repeat "Get DA back to fantasy RPG!" meaning religion complete optional thing as it was before(that doesn't involve everyone and everything in game) and focus on some fantasy plot more.I'm here to play fantasy RPG not "find your own" religion RPG.

I liked that she saved the Warden, helped Hawke, and she was always something more than meets the eye.

Now, as it stands.. her arc is currently over or plateau ' ed unless they can blow our minds with a twist!

This is my point! Flemeth was always huge mystery for me which made her both interesting and something that would make my hair become gray.I always hoped that there was serious dark link of why are Hero and Hawke gone related to Flemeth and her legend that will turn in true horror that Flemeth always seemed to be..........hole thing Varric was hiding Hawke...Warden is off looking for cure...Flemeth just carries soul of thing that is considered to be "Goddess" doing her bidding turned out to be most disappointing thing for me.

Yea, it really was anti-climatic for me too. It almost seemed like it was just short term gains for her than what I thought. I thought she had a long term goal for keeping both protagonists alive.

Instead, she kept the Warden alive to end the Blight and possibly obtain the OGS thru Morrigan. I guess she knew about the sacrifice of a GW and stuff.

She saved Hawke to ensure survival of herself incase she was murdered by the HoF.

That's it. One world state can render saving Hawke pointless, no Old God Soul, and just ending the Blight. Maybe that's why she didn't have an expanded role in DAI.

I wont touch the "goddess" part since that is a whole thing in itself. Since there are so many variations, some world states give her a better storyline. I wouldn't say they are dragging her out..but as it seems, her story has concluded unless she actually had a long term plan without all the varying world states affecting it.

In DA:O it was great, got to fight her and was an interesting character which I expected more of in DA2. Disapointingly, we literally only got to see her for 5 minutes and that was it as barely anything noteworthy happened. Then in DA:I, it's more of the same thing: A few interesting bits and pieces but nothing major.

Bioware is obviously setting something up with Flemeth, but I'm worried that it's going to "drag along" for too long and fans will get annoyed. I don't want to see another 10 minute Flemeth part in the next (hopefully) three games and in the series conclusion, have it unravel.

Do you agree/disagree? How are you hoping Bioware handles Flemeth?

I would be shocked if there even is a long term plan for Flemeth in the first place. She has had about 15 minutes total of vague dialog spread across 3 games and 6 years and about 70% of what she did have to say was in the very first game.  I'm pretty sure if Kate Mulgrew wasn't the voice actress Flemeth wouldn't have even had a place in the story by now. Nugs are a bigger part of Dragon Age than Flemeth at this point.

I personally love her too much (esp. with Kate Mulgrew's voice acting!).  I kind of hope she remains a unifying element in the games.  But personal feelings aside, I understand the perspective of rehashing characters too much.  As much as I love me some Alistair, I thought his appearance in DA2 was kind of gratuitous.  And the swooping line seemed too much like an established comedian coming on a sitcom to spout out their catch phrase.

*face palm.

This was hinted from Da2. Everyone who was paying attention called that She was mythal or had a connection to Mythal. That fact that she has a connection to the dalish and was revived at a Mythal shrine  is that big giant hint.

The vague dialog were hints to what was going to happen to the plot. Seriously, in da2 she hinted to near all the issues all the character had.  How is a character for that hint and give clues to future events  not going to be a hue staple to the series?

What are these other theories? As far as I could tell, Flemeth was constantly associated with something elven because of the shrine on Sundermount.

Plus, in dialogue with Morrigan in DA:O, it seems to fit fairly well with the story that Flemeth was, at some point, an ordinary person who eventually became bound to a spirit of some sort.

More Flemeth is something I'm always on board with, so the more of her personality survives whatever's going on in that epilogue the better.

Well I'm pretty sure that she's DEAD now, so I don't really think you'll have to worry about that anymore.

Not just Sundermount in DA2. She's also connected to the Dalish in Stolen Throne.
