Hello All,

After playing this game for some time I have a feeling that this game forces you to go axes to get the best from warriors. In case of two handed weapons all specialization want to stack critic strike to get the most from flow of battle passive. I crafted a two handed sword that outdamages my axe but the critic chance the axe provided eventually made it way better in terms of using skills and overall damage.

In case of one handed weapons the issue seems the same. There is no flow of battle skill tree but the best tier -3 schematic weapons you can get are axes because longswords are almost unreacheable (the only tier 3-schematic you can get is dwarven longsword if you are lucky and it is quite weak compared to other weapons).

If you want crit then unfortunately axes are best for 2H.  But it is very easy to get tier 2/3 greatswords which can't be said for the ornate battleaxe (which is a real pain to farm for).  The blade of suldhin is really powerful and as long as you aren't desperate to maximize your crit there are plenty of good greatswords out there.  In fact, you could easily maximize your attack power by going with greatswords instead of axes.

As for 1H, no the game doesn't really force you to use them.  I argue this because if the second you go SnS you are giving up damage for survivability.  Who cares if you do 5% less damage with a sword than an axe, because you're still doing 30% less than a 2H.
