Are grenades broken and need fixing?

Grenade capacity is a little OP but If you are a serious grenade user, you will find that you'd hardly ever find yourself hindered by max grenades with the lesser grenade packs.... Unless I am AIU solo-ing, (and sometimes using demolisher), the 5 extra grenades isn't all that great.... It only really means smamming

How can something be a little OP and not all that great at the same time?

I think Arc Nades are the worst offender. Followed by Cluster. Everything else is OK enough as long as you don't go as far as Grenade Capacity. Sticking up to Warfighter & Shocktrooper seems much better to me personally.

How can something be a little OP and not all that great at the same time?

Because that way you can complain about it twice as much.

 

Complaints are the only thing truly valued on BSN.

I don't see anything wrong with nades or Cap V. I have no problems spamming grenades for 11 waves.

IMO the only ones that might be broken are Arc Grenades but then there's alot of broken **** in this game. The rest of the grenades seem fine. Don't really know about sticky grenades though since I don't use them.

Forgot about inferno grenades lol but cluster nades are so inaccurate that they ****** me off more than anything.

The problem is that some maps still don't give 2 grenades per box, and some even have a low number of boxes or they are in very bad locations. If it was more consistent to replenish grenades then yes I would agree with nerfing Nade capacity.

 

Try playing dagger or glacier with several grenade classes... you will be at each others throats over those nades. In fact I am pretty sure that type of situation is what made me start loathing the AIU's who keep joining my lobby <_<

I haven't read anything past this yet but, inferno grenades and cain mines say hi!

 

Also, Deerber ImposDeerber makes a good point, according to BSN almost everything has been referred to as 'OP' at one time or another (barring the absurdely brutal **** like the Avenger / Shruken, etc.)

 

My final thought, last night I pugged a match with the TGI / Valkryie, and used the Geth Scanner so ...

 

Geth Scanner > Grenade Capacity

Lol! Glacier is the Heaven of any kit with real grenades. Who cares about having few grenade boxes when I've got 6 TCPs?

But at least your grenades don't fly off map and the enemies are neatly clustered together <3

Proximity Mines go exactly where you want them, they stay put until triggered, detonate Tech Combos, come in unlimited supply, and can be spammed once every 4 seconds for the entire game, without being chained to an ammo box, or burning up Thermal Clip Packs.

 

You can even do stupid tricks like place one behind a target, then stagger them into it, which detonates the ammo primer that you applied AFTER placing the Proxy Mine.

 

But hey, you guys go ahead and duke it out over 2nd place.  Don't forget your Adreneline Mod, maybe you'll get to that ammo box first next time.
