I decided to create a new FemElf today but for my surprise, the eyecolors (inner, outer) aren't working right. I can choose the inner color just fine but when I click the outer color, the inner one resets and vice versa. Also, picking a shade from the box and then moving the color selector along the color wheel also resets the picked shade. This basically makes coloring the eyes impossible because they keep resetting. Even moving back straight to previous menu resets the colors. Very annoying, especially since I can't save the face so I could "reload" and try again.

 

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Did the patch cause this?

Are you PC, and are you using any CC mods? I've noticed that CC mods can sometimes make things go a little whackadoo.

Yep, on PC but no mods currently since they stopped working with patch 6 (I know they work again now), only the Cinematic Tools + cheat engine to toggle the PJ's away. I noticed yesterday (5 discarded inkys) that this same thing happens occasionally with makeup and tattoo color, as well. Really strange because this never happened before the patch and I have an extensive graveyard of rejected inkys to prove that. Since it doesn't directly affect the gameplay, I think I just have to keep trying to get my elf done. I guess I can live with a black tattoo and fix some things with the BE when it comes. If you create an IQ that you like but just need to tweak colors, you can use the DAI Save Editor tool:

I use it to get hair/eyebrows/lashes/shadow darker than is possible than with the CC:

Yes, that's Theo, my facial "self insert." The nose is as close as I think I'm going to get. The tip still isn't perfect (mine is a little less curved), but I believe that is a limitation with the in-game CC.
