How do you guys imagine drunk Alistair fate in DAI? I was a little dissapointed that he did not show up, especially after Teagan take him back to Ferelden.

He dries out and rejoins the Wardens. IIRC, in my "Loghain killed the archdemon" ending, Alistair was a wandering drunk, and he was the one who showed up in Crestwood. He didn't have a lot of nice things to say about the HoF, however.

Drunk Alistair died of alcohol and cheese poisoning, he was one of the skeletons we found beside the giant cheese wheels.

Hah, you guys sure are rough on him! Not to say I wasn't miffed when he decided to skip out on me in Denerim that one time.
In spoiler tags because it's breaking the flow of one-liners about Alistair's food/drink preferences. xD

There is some text in a DAI talktable that isn't found in the game. Might be a bugged codex:
"Rumored to be King Maric of Ferelden’s bastard son, there was a moment during the recent Fifth Blight where Alistair could have ascended to the throne. Instead, the throne was given to Queen Anora, daughter of the traitorous Teyrn Loghain—the very man responsible for the death of almost every Grey Warden in Ferelden at the infamous Battle of Ostagar. Disgusted, Alistair abandoned the Grey Wardens, and for years lived in disgraced exile in the Free Marches. Several years ago, Alistair was retrieved from his exile, sobered up, and eventually re-admitted to the Order… though he chose to do so in Orlais rather than his homeland."

Wait--he what? Damn, I know what I'm doing in my next world state in the Keep.

Really? I thought Stroud showed up if Loghain killed the archdemon and Alistair was exiled. Huh.

He does. Stroud is the Warden who shows up if Alistair is a drunk and Loghain is dead. That was my worldstate and Stroud appeared in mine.

That's what I thought. I'd heard others saying they wished Drunk Alistair had been in the game somewhere, so it seemed odd to hear a claim that he is there after all.

I think Alistair's presence in DA:I was a challenge for the devs in any case. As King, he should still hear the Calling, but it isn't explained if he does or not. As drunk he should still hear the Calling and in that case he seems to... hide somewhere, I guess. The only version that fits somewhat is the Warden version, but in this case he possibly dies or is lost in the Fade.
I wished Alistair had come back as a drunken master type of fighter, sort of like Oghren only with more finesse.
But I'm sure he's sober after Teagan helps him. I would guess that he's living with Teagan or possibly crashing at Eamon's estate. I would like to think he would try to make good on his promise to help Goldanna and her kids.

Maybe I'm mis-remembering. I *thought* I got Alistair in that one... but I'd created two very similar looking inquisitors (and abandoned both playthroughs, but at different points). Maybe I bailed before Abyss on that one and thought it was the other.
If I've passed bad info, I apologize.

Drunk Alistair (or St. Dralistair) is the patron saint of the Drinquisition, and clearly the most desirable of his three possible fates.
He died from a combination of liver cirrhosis and a stone mug to the head, and by conjuring both occurences on a daily basis, he is still honored today.

How do you guys imagine drunk Alistair fate in DAI?
I imagine that his fate is being killed by arrow as he walks out of a bedroom during the mage rebellion overthrowing Taegen. Basically imagine the scene from the Noble Warden origin if you sleep with someone, only he didn't just sleep with someone and he was leaving his room to get a beer.
I don't actually expect it to be canon, but it makes me laugh so it is my head canon until he appears or is referenced again.

Alistair can marry Bella in Redcliffe and then get free drinks for life.
Never have left him as a drunk, so dunno. I don't think I have the heart to.
