Has BioWare ever considered taking this route for some of their novelizations? Is it something they've ever done?

With one of BW's strength laying primarily in their writing, and their obvious interest in creating novels, it seems like the ideal way to allow fan interaction, while still creating a novel. In addition, with the implementation of something like Dragon Age Keep, it allows a player to import their choices from the novel into their canon World State.

This gives the authors a chance to write a novel, the fan a means to interact with it, and players a chance to see their choices expanded upon. Granted, there are downsides: Like with everything with branching paths, a tight-knit story is sometimes difficult to accomplish, and it may make for varying characterizations (in addition to more work for the game's writers). The biggest issue is, of course, the market for such things. It's not really something I, as a consumer, would necessarily be interested in.

I do however think it's an avenue worth looking into, if it hasn't been already. Assuming it hasn't been done already, my personal recomendation is a series based on Niftu Cal, or Varric's Hard in Hightown series =p

The did at least one, kind of, with the interactive comic for ME1. Which was something obvious I forgot about completely.

The digital Visual Novel/Comic medium is I assume the cheapest way to go about gauging interest in something like this (like the aforementioned comic). I'm not sure how well something like this would work in terms of a physical release.

That'd be awesome. Although their games are pretty much like that, but novel form....I'd buy that!
