Ok I think PS3 is already done!  I was checking a few minutes ago and can't see it anymore on the weekend challenge at HQ!  I haven't even got home from work yet.  If you don't add to the total do you still get the chest?  I mean I'll do my personal one and I'll help with the whole community one but looks like I won't be able to help with PS3.  I think they give us a way to low number to be honest because I think maybe we haven't finished 1 community challenge...I could be wrong because I'm doing it off the top of my head.  Oh well the personal one shouldn't take to many games as I'm usually good for at least one gold medal a game and sometimes more.

 

Yes, you'll still get the community victory chest.

 

Also, I logged on right after work and got a few quick matches in before dinner. We were already past halfway when I did that. Now I just come back from dinner and we're already done?

Also... um, did any other PS4 players still see mixed factions? When I logged on (for the first time since last weekend, mind you) and played a few matches when I got off work this evening, Venatori had a few banshee-screaming demons in the mix and Red Templars on Threatening seemed normal until Zone 5, where both the Venatori Commander and Red Templar Commander were present.

 

A friend on PC is telling me the mixed factions were turned off when the challenge started, so I'm really confused now.

No counter for the stretch goal tho.. I wish they would leave the counters on so you can see how much the targets get destroyed.. Also be nice to see the personal counter to see how much you, as a single player, have contributed to a weekend challenge..

Technical reasons I suspect for the stretch counter across platforms...

 

I am quite sure we nailed this. 5 platforms completing was 900,000 already...

Thank you for, er, not caring... (Because deep down you know you love posting.  )

 

Let's assume that an average party of 4 gets 3 medals each, 4 bronze, 4 silver and 2 gold, in total.

Under the points system, that would be (4x1 + 4x5 + 2x15) 54 points for a mission that earns 12 medals, or 1 medal for every 4.5 points.

 

PS4 players made up around half the successful points, they were done with 400,000 points by 9.30pm Eastern.

At that rate, they will have cleared 2.4 million points, or 520,000 medals by the end of the challenge.

 

The other platforms combined were matching PS4 thereabouts, so 1,000,000 medals is do-able.

 

Clearly with community points challenges done, this relies more on multiple medals and shifts the priority to multiple bronze and silver medals rather than harder won gold medals, so no need so solo Perilous  .

 

Happy to debate the relationship between points and medals in a typical match, assuming anyone cares  .

Nah. I don't think the stretch challenge numbers have ever been posted. We just usually find out on Monday/Tuesday if we succeeded or failed it.

Last weekend we failed a challenge... and things changed.  The gameplay was significantly altered in exchange for missing out on the victory chest.

 

So what I'm getting from this is that the more we fail, the more fun the game will be.

We really messed up this time then. Pretty much the only way to fail would be if no one played. But if every one thinks the game is "stale" and stops playing, then we fail, which results in a "fun" punishment, which causes people to play, which means we fail... Oo

Seriously we do need new content badly...
We can surmise there is a new DLC on its way, it is just a question of when. I myself have been impatiently waiting for almost a month since it seemed likely to release the end of March. I just hope it drops soon. It can be very difficult now to find a match on 360 in my region at my time of morning due to low player count. Soloing is just not fun or my forte.

I am glad it only took me 2 runs to get my weekly. 

 

The less time I spend grinding the same old maps, the better... Until new content is out and bugs and matchmaking is fixed. 

 

Also got another chest of dissapointment but didn't feel that bad because I didn't need to grind for it.

Know what would be nice?  If BioWare fixed the medal presentations at the end of matchs, that would be peachey.
