Cause I just can't seem to hype this up enough! Can I wait in line yet? Was Star wars a part of your childhood? I used to watch the original series over and over and over as a kid. Also, this trailer got 18 million views in a day. lol

not so much my childhood cause no TV parents :D
But i enjoyed it later.
Find the serie well overated but still mythical, at least for the episodes 3-6

I'm wondering if they're planning to bring back the 1313 project. There were some rumours about it... That'd be awesome.

Really? Interesting yeah I haven't looked into since I heard they were aborting the project to work on dragon age and mass effect and their future IP.

You mean SWTOR? It's developed by BW Austin, which has almost nothing to do with the Canadian Bioware teams (apart from the name and the common overlord, EA; if I remember correctly). It just received a new expansion that expanded the Darth Revan storyline.

 

1313 was developed by Lucasarts, until Disney bought the rights to SW... they killed off the project, but apparently there's a chance of it returning.

Ahh I see, ok I did not know that. Disney just ruined everyone's day. Well now is probably the best time to bring the project back. Anything Star Wars this year is going to do well.

I must admit that I'm a dilletante in this particular subject. My knowledge of Star Wars ends up on the "Darth Bane Trilogy" :P Watched all the movies, but still don't get the concept :D

Interesting, I actually haven't read that series. You may be more knowledgeable than I am on the topic! I did read a few of Star Wars books out there, when I was younger. Otherwise, my culture has really just been the movies and a podracer game on PC a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...

I read the books only because a good friend recommended them to me. Written by the Canadian guy.. wait, what was his name? Karpysh.. Kapyryshy.. oh the One who co-oped at writing story to Mass Effect 1 :P That convinced me eventually and it all took place only two years ago. I'm a young padawan :)

And do read Timothy Zahn's books, they're great. Although, with Mickey mouse taking over, non-canon.

I wish I had time for these ;) I think Mr. G.Lucas is the Lord of Siths himself and he got corrupted long long ago by the dark side that's why we shall see Mickey with a lightsaber soon :P

I'm going to see if I can install the old republic today though. Servers were overloaded yesterday apparently and I couldn't get online.

Yeah, the Thrawn trilogy felt like a real sequel, I was surprised it didn't become a movie in time.

 

Everything, including comics, games, books, etc. except for the films became part of something called "Star Wars legends" (http://starwars.wiki...ar_Wars_Legends) so they're not canon anymore, more like an alternate universe. Some characters might be interchangeable between the old canon and the new, but that's just speculation until proven otherwise.

 


I'm going to see if I can install the old republic today though. Servers were overloaded yesterday apparently and I couldn't get online.

Nice. I'm wondering if we could get a few more people from here, it would be great to run with larger teams.

Watched all the movies so far.

Jedi Knight 2 B)

Kotor  and Kotor 2. I find Kotor 2 better, even more with the fan made restored content patch, but I haven´t played that droid planet yet.

Star Wars Starfighter. Weak <_<.

The Phantom Menace. Weak, too <_<.

 

Bring me back more Jedi Knight and a new X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter :o
