 I mean yes there is where nobles and chevaliers reside but that should mean that a increased number of brothels because lets be honest being noble mean you can afford to go to brothels more. Also the chevaliers need things to so they do not abuse the other hard working citizens so why do Val Royeaux does not have brothels?

The Chevaliers have a ton of "game." They know how to work it combined with the fact that their accent and manners are irresistible hence they have no need of such a silly thing as brothel.

In DA:I you only visit a single market. Remember Val Royeaux is one of the largest cities in all of Thedas. You just don't see very much of it in the game.

I'm not exactly heartbroken about there being no brothels, but the lack of them just added to the list of things that would have helped make Val Royeaux more city-like. It's one of the things I missed about Kirkwall, despite the over-used environments, the city was pretty well done.

Hopefully one of the DLCs will open up new areas of Val Royeaux. I don't see a brothel as a necessity, but seeing more of the city would be nice. I think DA:I could done with two less wilderness maps and a much larger area of the city to explore instead.

 You get food and what you said outside the city but do you want people to go outside the city to fulfill this very powerful basic desire? You can order a servant to bring those but can can you order a servant to bank a prostitute or a gigolo in your place?

You might as well ask why there are no Chantries in Val Royeaux. We only see a part of the city.

 Yeah that is a problem but we only saw a part of Denerim well about half but we did have a brothel and a chantry. We should have had a bigger part of Val Royeux with brothels and chantry and alienages.

Let me just point out that you probably don't want a bordello smack in the middle of a marketplace. I get the feeling it would be just a bit disturbing to have one located right next to your favorite bookshop with all the moaning, etc.. I would guess that any and all bordellos are located in whatever passes for Val Royeaux's red-light district.

That'd be interesting to see. If we get to explore more of Val Royeaux in future games/DLC, meeting sex workers would be amazing. Even more so if they're written with as much depth as they did with Isabela and the women she helped.

Personally I'm glad Bioware finally has a game where there isn't a brothel or strip club, especially since you had to almost always go there for the story.
