Are Infiltrators too popular?

30 FPS does have an impact in CQC. Enemies react slower, so they don't instanly all rail on the closes Vanguard. 

 

In any case. Vanguards can super powerful even off-host. But you need a lot of head-knowledgeTM and experience playing off host to make them work. While infiltrators only need to know 1 thing: how to push the Cloak button, 

 

In my original post about Vanguards I said they are the most powerful class. OFC head knowledge contributes to that, as does host vs off host. I don't bother writing qualifiers for every opinion I put on this forum, otherwise I would be writing an epic novel on every post. Some concepts are implied, ones that I assume most on this forum are aware of. So despite that, Vanguards are the most powerful overall class.

 

I see as many pitiful infiltrators pugging as any other class

Eww! Vanguards! I completely hate the characters for that class! They have to many boring powers. But in mass Effect 2 It was Godly,(also ME1, BUT Everything was Godlike in that game)

Firstly, Krolord.

 

Only GI and Harrier TGI have ridiculous damage. Other Infiltrators including the DAI, AIU, SI, QMI, AHI have very high damage but nothing that other classes cannot match or even surpass. The rest of the infiltrators are easily outclassed by other classes. Other than 4 of them their survivability is greatly overrated because they cannot regen their shields while cloaked.

Please don't lower the tone of the discussion with rationality and reasoning. I'll let you off with a warning this time.

 

I'm shaking the screen and randomly staggering all the things or lashing everything to the moon  :P

I heartily endorse this product and/or service.

No. Shadow and melee AIU are the only Infiltrators I approve of because they are unique. All others I'd rather play their non-infiltrator counterpart (ie. Saboteur instead of Ghost, SE instead of SI, and so on).

 

EDIT - by the way, how did you find this nuthouse?
 

Not when I'm shaking the screen and randomly staggering all the things or lashing everything to the moon   :P

 

Yeah, it annoying, but I'm much happier with this then say a Flamer spammer.

It's hard to find a game WITHOUT a Juggernaut. And I'm fine with that, as long as they do well. But half of the time they just keep going down ALL the time.

Yeah. I only bail out on Flamers if their Flamer sound glitches to make it sound like I'm the Flamer spammer.

I saw a Vorcha trying to flamer a Banshee on Gold.

 

By the time the shields had gone, the Vorcha was already dead.

Flamer = power. Banshee, Praetorian and Phantom have states that make them temporarily immune to powers. And still some noobs try to burn them down.

Most Vorcha's I see love Flaming bubble Banshee's, Praetorian, Phantoms, etc, like they are the one getting any dps in. I sigh & smile and make sure his fantasy lives on with my dps.  :D

i miss the reave "mrrrrrrwwwwwwrrrrrrrwwwwwwwwwmmmmmwwwwwrrrrrrwwwwwwwww" bug sound, i would play one just for that reason and laugh like hell the whole game!

And was shooting mag after mag into things.

 

And they weren't dying. My only hope was Incendiary Ammo and Concussive Shot combo. :)

 

Was kind of funny. :) Managed to scrape second on the leaderboard. :)

Hahaha, yeah, I was playing with a kid a few days ago who was on his mic with his Flamer Trooper, and he was flaming these Banshees with their hand of denial up, screaming (literally, screaming) BURN! BURN! BURN!!!!!  I didn't have the heart to tell him that the only thing his Flamer was doing was making sure her bubble stayed up so I could double-hit her.  I think he thought he was doing all that damage.  He should not have been playing Gold, BTW.

I think they are a popular class (infiltrators)....i find at least one or two in every lobby i'm involved in. Either that or a soldier or some sort of adept. The majority of the time i'm the only vanguard in the group, which is fine since i prefer the group to be a bit varied, but i do notice that i don't see alot of vanguards in the lobby.

 

I play infiltrators very rarely and when i do, i want to make sure the lobby is capable because i pretty much don't play that well with them...i will go to the huntress and play her with the punisher smg and black widow, but i cannot snipe to save my a$$, but much RESPEC` to those infil's that can cause high damage, because i have seen some infil's make the Black Widow sing death threats to everything on the map.

 

My Phoenix Vanguard will always represent for the Vanguard corps!...*sticks out chest and raises fist*....

Infiltrators are a smart choice for pugging, because you can cloak objectives, cloak revive teammates, and cloak troll teammates, all conveniently on one button.

 

You get a nice damage boost too

When I last played with my HI with Mantis X, HVB 1 and level 1 consumables yesterday on my new PS3 account, I could barely kill enough things fast enough to be of help for all the agro dumping I was doing that was just wreaking the poor pugs I was playing with. And all objectives were escorts across Giant too, leaving me with even less dps (more like no dps, lol). Kept thinking how much better off things would of been if I had a decoy pet or at the very least a non-agro dumping kit. So I can tell you all the revives I was capable of where for nothing in that match-up, because the enemies would just shoot past me to kill another pug again. Felt like I was playing a non-shield boost Volus pug style. Just running around, reviving and barely doing any shooting. "But, but, I'm a support class." Cry the Volus pugs.  :lol:
