Any tips for what to have for dinner? I can't decide.
Fajitas are always a solid choice.

I'm strictly barred from the kitchen when it comes to food preparation. Last anniversary dinner I cooked we had to evacuate the house. I thought a clove of garlic was the whole head, recipe called for three cloves. ![]()

It's a lot trial and error but it's so much fun, too.

The whole ****** subdivision smelled like garlic. On the way back from the dinner at the restaurant since we had to abandon the house, we got a mile from the house and my wife is like "I think I smell our house". I still get **** for that.

When I still lived at home (between army and university) I wanted to heat up some sausages. Put them in a pot on the stove, set it to full power and went back into my room for a minute. There I became engrossed in the MMORPG I was playing and I forgot that I was hungry and had food cooking. About 4 hours later my little sister came home from a party and noticed a weird smell in the hallway. When she opened the kitchen door, she couldn't see for all the smoke. Took us hours to air it all out, the pot contained only a black, hard brick and had to be thrown away. We had to wash everything in the kitchen three times and had to renovate it before the last of the smell was gone.
Even a decade later they remind me of that incident when I mention that I am cooking... ![]()

Oh man, this triggered the memory of a song I haven't listened to in ages. Frank Zappa - Jewish Princess.

A recipe says separate eggs I put each egg in its separate corner, "ok they're separated."

DO NOT BURN DOWN THE HOUSE.
I figure that one is pretty important it's magneted on the fridge. And yeah my wife is a smart ass.

It's the opposite here. I cook all meals and no one else is allowed to.
