I asked them three questions on the twitch stream
1. When can we expect the new dlc to come out?
2. Is there any DLC for MP coming out soon?
3. Is it still worth trying to apply for the PC beta?

It's better than nothing. At least we know the DLC (currently in beta) isn't coming out anytime soon. And we also know that they're not taking new applicants for the beta
I guess that conformation that BioWare is working on DLC is something. ![]()
Its a little disappointing though when by this timeframe MEMP had the 'Earth DLC' out as well as continuos balance changes and developer feedback. DAMP is kinda starved for new content, or at least non-buggy content.

All that we actually know is that the DLC is not out now.
The DLC could drop on Tuesday, or it could drop in a month next Tuesday... It's a normal non-disclosing answer that is true at any time.
I think we all understand it's being tested, and when it's ready it will drop, with a big 'ta-da'...
They also discussed the "chest" and "RNG" situation. They confirmed there is a hidden "score" that accumulates with every chest you open. This opens up different tiers of probability, at least that's how I understood it. In essence they said by opening chests, in game or through the store, your odds for higher quality loot improves.
Thought that was pretty cool. They also mentioned they have data now...and plan to make changes to the system. No mention of what changes, but they did ask for recommendations such as specific chest types.
I thought it was informative compared to the last few streams, and will now be hoarding gold like the rest of you.
k
We already knew they can't talk about DLC.
At first glance this would seem as though there is a lot in the works and we will see something in the future.
Upon using my brain I see it as it's better to say nothing and never deliver than it is to get our hopes up and disappoint. Am I opposed to being more hush hush about it so they don't have a specific date that they could potentially miss and **** everyone off, not neccessarily. But it's hard to be excited about any future content when the target date is forever ??/??/????
Oh no, I don't doubt we'll get DLC. But I doubt that we can exspect support on the level of MEMP.
If I recall, the quote was 'support beyond MEMP' from an 'unnamed' BioWare representative, (whatever that means) so if support last longer than the year DAMP got, then the support will have gone beyond it. Contract fulfilled...

Seemed like a reasonable expression. Guess I'm not old enough...significance is definitely lost on me.

Hogan's Heroes. Sargeant Schultz. "I know nothing, nothiiiiing!!!"
Which, for your reference, Beerfish, was on syndicated television (Nick at Night on Nickelodeon) when I was a kid, so I actually grew up watching it... even though I was growing up in the 90's. ![]()

That's a pretty shrewd way to fulfil their promise...
It's like saying to your girlfriend: I would never cheat on you with another woman...
Marketing at its finest, customer satisfaction at its lowest!
Ha. I'm not saying it's not true that MEMP had stronger DLC support earlier in its life cycle, by comparison, DAMP has been slower.
The Twitch streams are good and DAMP has had the banners from the start which MEMP only had later.
I'm not sure I would count an 'unnamed quote' as a marketing authorised promise in any case...
As for customer satisfaction, your mileage may vary. I'm still enjoying it, though ready for some DLC now...
What will happen is, that people wouldn't care about DAIMP when beta gets out.
What they expect, that we will wait for whatever time takes for them to give us more content? or they have forgotten that new games are coming for PC this year:
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (already pre ordered)
Grand Theft Auto 5
Metal Gear Solid 5
Street Fighter 5
Batman: Arkham Knight
Tom Clancy’s The Division
Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void
YES Bioware, watch me waiting......

The obsessive players are the extreme minority, most gamers come back to a title or decide to finally make the purchase because of DLC.
Another fraction of gamers would have interest in all those titles.
Personally, I'll pick up only the top one, the rest, probably never.

Yeah, but IRC that quote was pre release, iE before the bugs, players going away, etc ...

Didn't see this before I hit "like" on the previous but had the same thought as I did so.

hey, we're not old...

I play FF14 on a daily basis. I'm also playing GTA 5 at the moment and just picked up a PS4 with Bloodborne. That doesn't mean I won't come back to DAIMP if they release some substantial content.
Until I see evidence to the contrary, however, I'm working under the assumption that the devs don't care; so why should I?
